Yes, I have heard about that Wexit movement even down here in Texas.
I guess a lot of the new government regulations and taxes, especially those targeting oil, mining and other revenue sectors, are robbing the wealth from the west.

Well, I’m not particularly wise or perspicacious but in my experience, dogs rarely produce cats, (as they say here in frogland).

I am so glad James Corbett wrote this November 17, 2019 newsletter “Your Guide to a World on Fire”, (and included the good news in his “Subscriber Exclusive Video”).
The article helped to fill in the blanks about the nebulous concepts I had regarding the protests around the globe. For me, it was a long read. Some of the many referenced links were very interesting.

“putsch” DEFINITION – “a violent attempt to overthrow a government.”

–In its native Swiss German, putsch originally meant “knock” or “thrust,” but these days both German and English speakers use it to refer to the kind of government overthrow also known as a coup d’état. Putsch debuted in English shortly before the tumultuous Kapp Putsch of 1920, in which Wolfgang Kapp and his right-wing supporters attempted to overthrow the German Weimar government. I think the results speak for themselves: large intact families, high reported levels of happiness, overwhelmingly successful businesses, and an almost complete retention of the young people, even after they are exposed to the temptations of the outside world and given the choice to leave. This isn’t to say that these people are perfect, nor can we realistically emulate their lifestyle completely, but there is plenty here that we can incorporate into our lives which would go a long way toward dispelling our current malaise.
I found the technology aspect particularly intriguing, as discussed in the linked Quartz article and its linked IEEE report.

The luddite lifestyle is not the product of blind stubbornness or ignorance but rather functions as a very practical, deliberate way to protect their identity. They seem to be especially concerned with the effects of the media, which they quite accurately regard as a vector of cultural degradation.

James has put out a lot of really good stuff over the years. I just found myself pulling up a 2013 Video he did in order to find how Hitler was related to the Rothschild’s. It was very informative and James promised to do more on the subject, yet I have yet to find it. In any case, the videos have improved since then, and I credit Broc for that.

Our little boy is already one week old & already we simply cannot imagine our lives without him. Becoming a parent truly is the greatest gift, responsibility & experience one can go through. I am happy to report that Mum & baby are very happy & very healthy. Which is all a new father can ask for.

Corbett, maybe moved by Broc’s news, suggests that maybe “the Old World Order of neoliberal globalism under Pax Americana is finally coming apart at the seams”. Very optimistic, but I don’t think so (of course I don’t, I’m an old Latin American. If the sun shines on Saturday, it rains on Sunday). Whatever old order is coming apart it’s to put all the globe in a big problem (fire), causing the reaction (something must be done) and so on, so the simultaneous fires only suggest that the “solution” is maybe near. The … final … solution? (pam…pam…paaaammm…. organ chords).

The article? I’ve been thinking the very same thing, as are many who keep up with world events. What is happening that the world stage has erupted into a body-populist protest? There are certainly many good reasons to have this happen. However, it rarely does. Something beyond the norm is going on here. What is it?
Maybe broadened information acquisition by the people has brought on that undefinable energy transfer we all know exists but can’t properly describe. You know, energy that is passed from one human to another full of waking knowledge across a world? When I was younger my grandmother told me if I had a great idea I should not say it out loud or tell anyone because when you do you unknowingly transfer the information out into the world. It becomes alive, energetic and mobile. A person on the other side of the globe may pick-up on your idea and make it their project. This was before the Net, of course. Now we have the Net and grandma’s energetic exchange happening at once. Big deal.

I read/listened to a book in which a wise man was quoted as saying: don’t worry about someone stealing your original idea. If it’s truly original, you’ll have to ram it down their throats.
I’m in a bit of a bind here. About one year ago, while I was out of work and had extra time on hand, I joined a local organization that supposedly wants to fight corruption (something aking to fighting air; or, even more prescient, CO2) but they never contacted me to volunteer on anything. Until recently, that is.
Their struggle didn’t bare much fruit since the system is setup to legalise state crime. So they figured they’ll try from within. The guy that started this organization is a judge who has for the past few years been dropping some high yield truth bombs, however wrapped up in standard statist celophane.
The past week I have been invited to help out collecting signatures on the following Sunday for his presidential candidature. A goal which, I’m sure, will be met easily.
Here’s the bind. From one angle, I did pledge my time for *some* action and therefore I feel obliged to help out. Time investment is not an issue.
On the other hand, as far as statism goes, this guy obviously hits all the bells. He even goes so far to say that people should simply elect the right people and that’s it. Like swinging a magic wand and whispering a spell from your lips. You need not worry about anything, just cast your vote in the right direction and be prepared to be bamboozled. Granted, many people in the crowd are quite … ill-educated, to use a mellow term, if one overcomplicates, they’ll surely doze off.
On the third and final hand, this guy is as anti establishment as one could hope to get on this level of notoriety. He advocates personal responsibility, talks about gutting the public sector finances (something that’s really easily doable with a few strokes of the pen, provided there’s political will) and amending the constitution. There’s even talk about “giving” workers.their gross salary, something that’s completely outrageous and noone in the media space would ever mention.
He’s running the campaign on private funds and seems he’s ready to rely on word of mouth to get his message across, since the main stream media is giving him a shit sandwitch every time he’s mentioned. Of course, when he decided to rely mostly on social media, “reporters” started attacking him for evading the media and whatnot.
The current situation is so dire over here that I’m thinking voting for this statist wanna be dictator is the less bad option. And I really do think he has a decent chance to win since people here seem to be hard coded for, hopefully benevolent, dictators. That’s the shared wet dream for past several decades. Besides, worst case scenario, if he turns out to be a liar, nothing really changes.
I am reminded of that “lock her up” chant, however.
Just to say something, I’d stay away from anything political (mainstream) at this point because there’s a psychology that runs underneath, always unseen, that makes things not go in any intended direction. Specially these digital era. I saw that clearly in a micro level when I started a business once with 4 friends and it’s evident how the psychology went. Nothing of what was discussed in meetings was done, and the anarchic model we wanted was only on the surface. Actually it was a hierarchy, which was what we wanted to get away from in our former job. The “best” guy slowly and naturally moved to the leader position and the other 4 became the followers, but on the surface everyone was equal. So the mouth says one thing and the heart does another – and the mind lies to itself. In a big context this is much worse and it all ends up in popular religiosity, people screaming and fighting as if defending their children. I would go anarco-something and try to help people close, friends, neighbors etc, anything or anyone within your physical range and forget about any type of government or organisations. Your story reminded me of Bolsonaro here in Brazil. A dictator wannabe that half the people defend because “at least” this or that (the other half just hates him), but as you stated, the system is built up in such a way that’s impossible to change anything, and being “government”, it’s corrupt by default. Governments can’t be anything else. They will say whatever you want, but they’ll never deliver – and religiosity will make people believe that he’s delivering it, but he’s not. So my suggestion – use your time to see where you can actually help, personally, if you’re so inclined. If collecting signatures for presidential campaigns is what they call “help”, then just get out of the organization.
Mkey ! Sharpen your sword on both edges . It cuts both ways. Can you get in and out unscathed ? Show the world what you can do. Stock will rise even if the client is a douche bag. Reinvent the wheel! Can you survive the success to the point where your talents become your own? You are showing a altruistic side here. Human interdevelopmental skills need constant exercise use it or lose it. This sounds just like an exercise. You Can hack the statist system and have fun doing it!.? Or what ever you do in the doing. You can find out new and exciting things and share them with us. What an oppertunity!
alexandre, I get what you’re saying. We are hard coded for various hierarchical organisations even though much of our activity is purely anarchic. What I’m mostly aiming for here is getting some experience, like general is saying a good exercise. Maybe I’ll manage to spark some independent thoughts in people.

Once I almost joined a political party, they persuaded me they are more a movement. Bullshit, I realized very soon.
Politics are like sewerage system. Sure, someone can claim he can go inside and solve stoppage and stay clean. Stoppage is not occasional phenomenon, it’s systemic, it’s poorly built or abused, like in real sewerage case. But it’s no way to stay clean if you work in sewerage.
The only parties I’ll be joining will be those where booze riddled women fetch you poncy hats and cool drinks.

We don’t have voter cards, yet. We do have voter registers with more people on the list than actually living in the (nation) state. It’s just one of the ways the establishment is clamping down on the populace which does show some signs of agitation.
Through more complicated procedures and ever changing boundaries of legality, “democracy” is being put to test. This is especially valid for conditions for holding referendums – hyped up voter count, shrinking time span for collecting signatures and various geographical limits are being imposed. And when all is said and done, you need to get green lighted by the “constitutional court” (made up of not even judges but mostly fat ex politicians).
Of course, the media follow through with “people are dense, they can’t deliberate on these decisions”, but they are able to bring these psychopaths to power? The whole system is a joke.
Anyway, you are perfectly right, much of the time we play by the book, it’s too convenient. This is perhaps a good chance to get some people’s knickers in a twist. I’ll have to prepare a list of some provocative questions.

I’m reminded of some true filth people here were subjected to during the years past, much of which passed completely under the radar.
When it was time to join the EU Frankenstein state one politician scared pensioners into voting for entry because otherwise their pensions would be put in jeopardy. Forget all about who was supposed to be in charge of them pesky pension funds, don’t mind all of that one iota. Another politician, I think she was the prime minister at the time, begrudgingly “allowed” the referendum to go through, clamoring about the high cost of casting such a vote. Yes, there is a cost that is seen and that is unseen. There is also a cost that is spoken and that is unspoken. When a politician starts yapping about costs, you better tune in and listen to that bold faced liar. Pay extra attention to what they are not saying.
Another politician claimed that the national debt may never be brought into question, because reasons. Forget about having some person you can’t trust and whom you would never ever invite into your home and to whom you haven’t bestowed any authority (if for no other reason then simply because you didn’t have any to impart) sign a proverbial paper to have imaginary funds transferred over some likewise imagined bank accounts for means completely unknown and shrouded with lack of knowledge, surplus of doubt and inability to comprehend. That truly sounds like a process that may not be questioned, ever, right you are, politician.
There was another person, an expert, who claimed that constitution may not be amended because if you allowed people to decide on stuff you’d have the majority exact their will against the minority … wait a freaking minute! That sure sounds like exactly an argument one of us would make. Of course, it’s invoked only when the times are dire, when the matrix starts to peel off and while the hang time is kept short lest it cause cognitive dissonance in the unaware public’s subdued mind.
Anyway…
We need “populist” leaders now so TPTSB can say “See!? It’s clear democracy doesn’t work! The People can’t rule themselves! In a normal world who would know more about a child than its mother? We are near the end here in the US in the life of a normal world. Things have moved so far from normal we are panicing over rudimentary common sense things, like mothers and their birthings. I did my bid this morning. ’twas a windy and rainy day so there really weren’t a whole lot of people up and about. What caught me by surprise was that most of the people walking up to the stand at the market were elderly. Not that there’s anything wrong with that.
Among the volunteers I met some interesting people with one thing in common – they’ve all had quite enough. Many of them care more about the future of their children and grandchildren then they do about their own. One of them is a very nice lady from whom I’ll be sourcing locally produced eggs and vegetables in the future. She had made a very nice apple pie without any added sugar. She was very eager on pointing out how she didn’t add any sugar to it 🙂
The organization is hierarchical in nature and there’s a quite a cult of personality being built up, but I’d say they all have good intentions. They are also keen on voting being the way out of this situation. What was missing for all of this time is a good candidate, you see. The system itself is not being doubted much.
