Though this is old news and it might not arouse any public outrage, if one thing could, it would have to begin with the families and friends of U.S./U.K soldiers who were killed as well as the soldiers and families and friends of soldiers who were maimed for life because of this senseless tragedy. Then this outrage might expand to include the innocent Iraqi soldiers and civilians who were also slaughtered and maimed and for the devastation of the nation of Iraq.
People in the U.S. seem to care about their soldiers, at least a bit more than they care about many other things and peoples, so perhaps all those with “Support Our Troops” bumper stickers will actually do so.
If I was a maimed soldier or relative of a killed soldier, I would be livid. Since I am not, I will join families and friends who are livid and offer my full support.
While this is old news to most of us, it is new news to many, as more are being awakened to the sheer pathological nature of the smiling faces that lie and lie and lie. Whether one has known of this memo for years or is discovering it for the first time matters not; what matters, in my opinion, is how we proceed from here with this “old news” receiving new attention.
James, you are so funny… not that this is funny, but your delivery is over the top… and now about: People with their heads screwed on straight!!! Who, prey tell?
Being able to laugh about our absurd situation is… well?
Not something to laugh about. Thanks for this!
I’m afraid it really *is* groundhog day. I just wonder what we can do to change ourselves to break the loop.
In the meantime, James, I did what you asked and sent to some of my friends but I’m afraid they’d just as disillusioned as myself.
