This first link is to an archive and screengrab of the article from The Atlantic highlighted in the current post. James suggested using archive.is (a great boon of an archive site) rather than increasing click-traffic to The Atlantic‘s original article (actually a grotesquely unoriginal article). So here we are.
This link is to a recent post by Derrick Broze, introducing his new series of articles on Epstein’s intelligence connections. Broze’s work is a clearinghouse on Epstein’s activities, so I assume the upcoming series will be a go-to digest of factual, hard-earned dirt on America’s favorite newly incarcerated baby-raping billionaire, and his raison d’être.
This link is to a piece by Kurt Nimmo, asking the musical question: Why has the Epstein-Mossad honey-trap story disappeared from the MSM?
I will resist the urge to add a link to the latest story in the saga, Epstein’s attempted suicide. (Or was he beaten? Or is it a hangnail?)
I add/omit these links not to simply pile on nominally relevant stories — though obviously there are good reasons to do that, in this or any Propaganda Watch installment — but if I may make a point about the slipperiness of propaganda, how redundancy serves its purpose.
Umberto Eco wrote an essay called “Cogito Interruptus” collected in Travels in Hyperreality where he sort of gives Marshall McLuhan a cold-gloved proctological exam. In directing our attention to the unintended rhetorical irony of McLuhan’s Understanding Media, Eco delivers one of the most beautiful sentences I’ve ever read:
I read this in the early 80s. I thought of this in the weeks following 9/11, when every network ceaselessly ran video of every angle of the billowing towers collapsing, people jumping to their deaths, the jets hitting and rehitting the skyscrapers. The 18 mugshots.
But well before 2001 (Travels in Hyperreality was published in 1979), I’d think of this passage whenever I heard REM (for example) coming through the tinny Muzak speakers at the supermarket — which also happened just yesterday, and which will predictably happen again and again, until… jeez, until when, exactly? Forever?
Another scrap of observational humor from the same essay, referring to the findings of both McLuhan and Seydlmayr. Eco was a heavy hitter, I think, but with a pretty soft touch.
We see this “confusion of collateral information” in mass media all the time, and we see it not at all. We wade in viscous, three-foot deep pools of “unrelentingly redundant” day in and day out. We contribute to it when we acknowledge it, and when we don’t acknowledge it.
If you think JC comes across as strident in considering inane non-points presented in an inane non-think-piece, written by an inane non-entity for The Atlantic, well, thank your lucky stars and take note, because here is the last sane man.

Correction: The title of that Eco essay is “De Consolatione Philosophiae” and I recommend the whole collection, as it applies to issues covered in The Corbett Report concerning media, history, politics, philosophy.
Thanks for the insight and for clarifying the term Gas Lighting, something that is certainly easier to defend one’s self against when falling victim to it, especially for those of us who have taken the metaphorical “red pill”.

Meanwhile Ghosn’s Stanford educated daughter Caroline hobnobs with high profile celebrities, the UN crowd, and is “an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community” and spoke at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos.
Methinks we are supposed to be distracted while some folks drinking Q Kool-Aid or Technocracy Kool-Aid are being told a house cleaning of corrupt entities is underway.

Some really cheap diggs in that article. But, hey, what could one expect. One failing girder brings the building down? If that happened, there would be such a sweeping wave of change, introduction of stringent building code regulations, it would probably be simpler to start a colony on the Moon, than to build a steel and concrete structure.
When something bad happens, architets, building inspector and other associated ruffle really look at it. They have a tendancy to be interested in a couple of thousands avoidable deaths.

Of course, the radiation destruction of those atomic power plants can not be minimized, not even inadvertently.
Chernobyl – All people that know who lived in east Europe had major health problems.
Fukushima – Might have killed 90% of sea-bed life, according to diver.
All these problems are due to fallout, not radiation.

I haven’t checked yet the difference between radioactive fallout and radiation but I too had heard about cancer rates and primarily thyroid cancer rates increasing in France (where the big joke is that the cloud stopped abruptly at the Swiss border (as the news reported))
and though I found much in Crichton’s talk extremely interesting, I had mixed feelings about minimizing the impact of Chernobyl
but

So the UN says the fraction of the incidence of thyroid cancer attributable to radiation exposure among non-evacuated residents of Belarus, Ukraine and the four most contaminated oblasts of the Russian Federation, who were children or adolescents [the most vulnerable section of the population] at the time of the accident,
is of the order of 0.25.
So it’s no surprise that the conclusion for the rest of Europe is:
“…So far published data do not point to a specific increase in childhood thyroid cancer in Western Europe, that could be linked to the Chernobyl accident…”

In 2016 the WHO confirms what Micheal Crichton stated, namely that:

I think that radiation as such is widely misunderstood and will require a lot of education, research and breaching through myths to correct the situation.

um, first I’d like to say how much watching this episode of Propaganda Watch was a cathartic and informative experience…as is most often the case with Mr Corbett’s work.
The chemtrails over “my” city today were historically multi-layered and abundant this day of the full moon and the concept of “gaslighting” took on a totally sensory and full-blown dimension as I thought about its portrayal in the media and the reactions of my entourage…
thirdly, and perhaps, irrelevantly, I was suddenly thrust back to my childhood…to the time I spent in “the Happy Valley” of Western Massachusetts, when I was friends, in 5th grade, with Erinn Cosby. There is a much bigger picture behind the propaganda. I have seen where J.P. Morgan had determined in 1909 that he only had to control the editing of 25 U.S. Newspapers in order to control America’s public opinion on an issue. Using this knowledge he purchased editing rights to the list of Newspapers and used them as a tool to sell the Federal Reserve Act in 1913.
As time goes on, the private owners of the Federal Reserve have used their power over the money supply to gain more and more power. In 1913 the privately owned Federal Reserve took control of the United States Dollar which was defined as a specific amount of Silver and thus limited by Gold and Silver held by the United States. In 1944 at Breton Woods, NH, the U.S. Dollar was accepted as the “World Reserve Currency” because it was still backed by gold and silver. However, soon after the November 1963 Coop, the U.S. Dollar was replaced with Federal Reserve Notes which could be created without limits by the owners of the Federal Reserve. This unchecked power over an unlimited supply of the world reserve currency has given these elites unprecedented powers.
It should be no surprise to find that most major Party candidates in western countries are controlled by elites pulling their strings from behind the scene. From what I have been able to gather, these elites look for candidates that they can control, and indeed pedophiles and/or those that can be blackmailed for some other means are the kinds of people that they fund and promote. As I see it, Epstein is but a middleman between the Elites and the politicians. His job is to corrupt and provide a means to control politicians. Not that he isn’t a sick bastard in his own right, but we have bigger fish to fry here and they are not politicians per Se.
Will not be long before the Fed’s swan song: through fractional reserve lending, supported by the fiat currency’s uncontrollable printing press. Then a Treasury dept. again issues paper backed by something of value, i.e.; more than future taxpaying obligations for current credit, debiting yet unborn citizenry.

Silver goes up, while surprisingly gold goes down slightly as the DXY (The Dollar) goes up. Typically, silver price direction is a reflection of gold price direction, with gold acting like the flagship.
Coincidence?
Yea, sure, alright then… just another coincidence in a long list of wild coincidences I have observed over the years.
While I can’t “prove it”, I feel like the alternative media played a role on Tuesday’s unusual jump in silver prices. It sure ain’t the MainStreamMedia shouting “Buy silver!” on Monday.

As I’m reading this, silver has loads of price increase potential so even relatively minor moves can be sizable. If something shouldn’t be underestimated, that’s the effect of “paper gold” on the markets.

When thinking of examples of gaslighting, Hillary Clinton stumbling (read: becoming unconscious and falling) during her 2016 presidential campaign, covered by CNN and others, comes to mind. One of the worst lines in the Atlantic piece is, “Of course, the notion that the Epstein case somehow validates every outlandish assertion uttered by the tinfoil-hat brigade is absurd.†So he is basically saying, “hey all you conspiracy theorists out there, don’t get too uppity or confident just because this conspiracy has made mainstream news and been validated as a true conspiracy. The rest of your conspiracy theories are false.†I think one of the biggest motives of the ruling class is maintaining the status quo. They don’t want people to start wondering what other conspiracies might be true.

That is their primary motive. Any alternative to that is off the table. Once people have power, they don’t want to lose it. They will strangle puppies and kittens (and murder a shitload of people anywhere, any time, whatever works) to preserve that power. They have the mentality of a small child- “Mine! Mine! Man, I cannot stop clapping. I’ve been clapping for 15 minutes. Corbett is incredible and truly one of the very few out there with such pinpoint precision. A jazz musician would say “yeah, he can play”.
Just one question. Are these writers conscious of the technique Corbett refers to or are they just so formatted and mind-controlled from birth that it comes out naturally? I think the latter, but would like to know Corbett’s opinion. McKay’s bio doesn’t seem to describe an intelligent master propagandist, but just one more idiot raised by the system. What Corbett describes seems to come from “education”.

Since this was just a small intrusion I wouldn’t worry about it – files on my laptop are often deleted or changed and I no longer pay attention to it – okay with some documents deleted it angers me a bit… but hey that’s normal
Expired certificares an intrusion don’t make. Up to just recently much of the web was http only. SSL makes things more robust and secure, but an expired certificate is just that.

I think what Mckay is arguing about has nothing to do with legitimate conspiracy theorists like on this site. The author is probably arguing about the people claiming to be conspiracy theorists that completely make up nonsense.
Every proven conspiracy always has people twisting it to make the conspiracy more entertaining and easy to understand. These are the people that we here are lumped with.
If that was the case Coppins would (or should) have made a distinction between legitimate and nonsensical conspiracy theorists / theories but since no such distinction was made we are left to assume that either Coppins is guilty of massive generalizations and lacks proper critical thinking skills or we can assume that the article was written in a deliberately deceptive manner. I personally don’t buy the idea that Coppins feels that any CT is legitimate.

Just like you pointed out, a lot of folks see through that snarky propaganda of McKay.
It becomes very evident that Coppins is not concerned about the victims of elite sexual predators. Decency has long left the McKay keyboard, and he doesn’t even recognize it.

I also wonder if you’re not reading a bit too much into this – somebody said awhile ago that this is the age of stupidity, and this could be nothing more than that – so many people have gone right off the deep end with ‘trump derangement syndrome’ that they are truly living in some kind of gagaland, completely out of touch with reality, and they seem to feel that any kind of attack on those they perceive as ‘enemy’ (aka we in the ‘reality based world’) will not be questioned so they can say any stupid thing they want – and as you point out, there is a great deal of stupid things being said these days.

They appear to be flawlessly documented and incidentally confirm my own profound sense that the allegations against Cosby are contrived murderous mendacious malevolence… High profile entertainment personalities who acquire a potentially enormous influence over public opinion can apparently be done away with… I’m thinking of a couple of French performers: a stand up comedian by the name of Coluche and a singer called Daniel Balavoine…

I left a mildly cryptic post on the Silicon Eugenics episode. I’ll tie it in on the Epstein case. By now, I’m sure you heard the latest.
What I find curious is how and why did Jaron Lanier get involved with Epstein. My guess is the 6 degrees of separation. A friend of a friend of a friend scenario. In the latest about Epstein, Lanier shared a piece of his experience with Epstein. In one article, it’s mentioned that prominent scientists were recruited/screened to donate their sperm to create a more intelligent race of people and these scientists may have been more interested in Epstein’s money more-so than his modus operandi.
Jaron Lanier is a brilliant visionary. I’ve been following his work since 1991. Get past his voice (like you have to do with Jordan Peterson) and listen to what he says and it’s mind blowing. From what I’ve read, his interest in Transhumanism is more about longvity than eugenics.
What I’d like to know is, why did Lanier decide to share this appalling news now as opposed to when he first experienced Epstein’s bizarre quest.
Maybe Lanier did share it with someone and it never made the news.-Or he told the wrong people. I wonder who approached Lanier, knowing his relation with Epstein.
Regardless of what these answers are, I’m really disappointed with Lanier and this whole story. It’s really sad what is happening right in front of us and we don’t do anything about it.
