According to the dinosaur media, the worst part about the exposure of Jeffrey Epstein’s child sex trafficking and high-level blackmail operation is that it bolsters conspiracy theories about child sex trafficking and elite corruption. Newsflash: they’re trying to gaslight you. Don’t fall for it for a second.

    • Peripatêtikos says:

Please forgive my discourteous lack of context.

This first link is to an archive and screengrab of the article from The Atlantic highlighted in the current post. James suggested using archive.is (a great boon of an archive site) rather than increasing click-traffic to The Atlantic‘s original article (actually a grotesquely unoriginal article). So here we are.

This link is to a recent post by Derrick Broze, introducing his new series of articles on Epstein’s intelligence connections. Broze’s work is a clearinghouse on Epstein’s activities, so I assume the upcoming series will be a go-to digest of factual, hard-earned dirt on America’s favorite newly incarcerated baby-raping billionaire, and his raison d’être.

This link is to a piece by Kurt Nimmo, asking the musical question: Why has the Epstein-Mossad honey-trap story disappeared from the MSM?

I will resist the urge to add a link to the latest story in the saga, Epstein’s attempted suicide. (Or was he beaten? Or is it a hangnail?)

I add/omit these links not to simply pile on nominally relevant stories — though obviously there are good reasons to do that, in this or any Propaganda Watch installment — but if I may make a point about the slipperiness of propaganda, how redundancy serves its purpose.

Umberto Eco wrote an essay called “Cogito Interruptus” collected in Travels in Hyperreality where he sort of gives Marshall McLuhan a cold-gloved proctological exam. In directing our attention to the unintended rhetorical irony of McLuhan’s Understanding Media, Eco delivers one of the most beautiful sentences I’ve ever read:

As with the best products of mass entertainment, the confusion of collateral information serves only to make appetizing a central structure that is unrelentingly redundant, so that the reader will receive always and only what he has already known (or understood). [Emphasis added.]

I read this in the early 80s. I thought of this in the weeks following 9/11, when every network ceaselessly ran video of every angle of the billowing towers collapsing, people jumping to their deaths, the jets hitting and rehitting the skyscrapers. The 18 mugshots.

But well before 2001 (Travels in Hyperreality was published in 1979), I’d think of this passage whenever I heard REM (for example) coming through the tinny Muzak speakers at the supermarket — which also happened just yesterday, and which will predictably happen again and again, until… jeez, until when, exactly? Forever?

[…] the media do not transmit ideologies; they are themselves ideologies […]

Another scrap of observational humor from the same essay, referring to the findings of both McLuhan and Seydlmayr. Eco was a heavy hitter, I think, but with a pretty soft touch.

We see this “confusion of collateral information” in mass media all the time, and we see it not at all. We wade in viscous, three-foot deep pools of “unrelentingly redundant” day in and day out. We contribute to it when we acknowledge it, and when we don’t acknowledge it.

If you think JC comes across as strident in considering inane non-points presented in an inane non-think-piece, written by an inane non-entity for The Atlantic, well, thank your lucky stars and take note, because here is the last sane man.

When folks have more than 500 words, they can break it up by “Replying” to their first comment.

Thank you, HRS. Words do indeed fail sometimes: too long-winded, as well as too spare, and that’s the long and short of it. (Cue canned laughter.)

I haven’t joined or posted a comment to a website in well over ten years, but the material created and presented here at TCR is so wonderfully compelling and encouraging. The way it spurs one to think and explore, and to muster, organize and communicate thoughts has inestimable value. Deepest respects all around.

Thanks for the insight and for clarifying the term Gas Lighting, something that is certainly easier to defend one’s self against when falling victim to it, especially for those of us who have taken the metaphorical “red pill”.

    • phreedomphile says:

One wonders how many layers of gas lighting we’re being subjected to.
And the corollary question. Is the gas lighting simply part of the ongoing nonlinear disinformation infowarfare protocol unleashing white out blizzards of info, disinfo, scandals, fear porn, and all the rest?

Given Epstein was or still is a member of the Trilateral Commission and CFR, it seems reasonable to say this controversy would not have made it into the MSM or judicial tentacles unless it was part of a Stage Act.

Consider the Grand Theater of the Absurd we’ve witnessed the past few years. The fake beheading compliments of SITE. The fake assassination of a Russian ambassador in Turkey. The fake attempted coup (aka false flag) of Erdogan. The Venezuelan action hero actor involved in an attempted helicopter raid of a government building. The fake shakedown of royal Saudi billionaires. Also Khashoggi the HIGHLY connected lapdog for the global elite (see MadCowProd.com) who passed as a ‘journalist’ was then murdered (really?). The splashy arrest of Nissan and Mitsubishi chairman and CEO Carlos Ghosn by Japanese authorities – very wealthy yet supposedly trying to cheat on his taxes. Meanwhile Ghosn’s Stanford educated daughter Caroline hobnobs with high profile celebrities, the UN crowd, and is “an active member of the World Economic Forum’s Global Shapers community” and spoke at the annual World Economic Forum in Davos.

Methinks we are supposed to be distracted while some folks drinking Q Kool-Aid or Technocracy Kool-Aid are being told a house cleaning of corrupt entities is underway.

Jared Kushner put Israel on notice, yeah right.

And then he again drones on about the coup against Trump, being foiled by those heroic good deepstate agents (new CIA breed etc.).

Sleep tight my sheep, as the good CIA agents are now there to protect you!

If we have learned anything from intelligence agencies then it’s that they are running circles around everyone else – especially the dumb population.
And Steve is running a lot lately.

There was no coup, there is no coup and there will be no coup.

The system is airtight, fully contained and controlled and it won’t fail.

If a president fails to sign what they want he gets “impeached” in some creative way. Lead has come out of fashion lately but you can always concoct a scandal.

Americans have the most guns in private ownership – yet they only shoot at themselves, especially the poorest, but never to “reinstate democracy”.

    Hi James,
kinda get the idea that Chernobyl and Fukushima were not so bad, compared to the terrible bombing experiments out there in the Pacific in the ’50s. Did not really think about it until I applied some of that gaslight to the article. “Radioactivity in parts of the Marshall Islands is far higher than Chernobyl, study says”By SUSANNE RUST | Los Angeles Times | Published: July 15, 2019 (from the Stars and Stripes Newspaper). Of course, the radiation destruction of those atomic power plants can not be minimized, not even inadvertently.

    • zyxzevn says:

Chernobyl – All people that know who lived in east Europe had major health problems.

Fukushima – Might have killed 90% of sea-bed life, according to diver.

All these problems are due to fallout, not radiation.

      • manbearpig says:

        hey zyxzevn, HRS and Trudy-Alan,

I haven’t checked yet the difference between radioactive fallout and radiation but I too had heard about cancer rates and primarily thyroid cancer rates increasing in France (where the big joke is that the cloud stopped abruptly at the Swiss border (as the news reported))

and though I found much in Crichton’s talk extremely interesting, I had mixed feelings about minimizing the impact of Chernobyl

        but

        I just found this:

“…Among the hypotheses put forward to explain the increased incidence of thyroid cancer is the impact of the radioactive fallout from the Chernobyl nuclear accident. Although this hypothesis cannot be completely discarded, especially that results of several French case-control studies are awaited, it does not seem very plausible given the regular increases both in time (already before 1986) and in place (in areas less affected by the fallout, such as the Tarn Département in Southwestern France). A recent publication by Cardis et al. [12] has shown that, except in heavily contaminated areas, it is not easy or possible to show correlations between increased incidence and radioactive fallouts…”

        https://www.em-consulte.com/en/article/249674

but I’m aware that I can find everything and its opposite on the net.

        so affaire à suivre

        • manbearpig says:

Some of the conclusions published in 2018 by the UN for what they’re worth:

“EVALUATION OF DATA ON THYROID CANCER
          IN REGIONS AFFECTED BY
          THE CHERNOBYL ACCIDENT

United Nations Scientific Committee on the Effects of Atomic Radiation UNSCEAR

          UNITED NATIONS
          New York, 2018

          (a) Both the total number of cases and the crude incidence rate (number of cases per 100,000 person-years) basically increased monotonically over the period 2006−2015. The total number of cases of thyroid cancer registered in the period 1991−2015 in males and
females, who were under 18 in 1986 (for the whole of Belarus and Ukraine, and for the four most contaminated oblasts of the Russian Federation), approached 20,000. This number is almost three times higher than the number of thyroid cancer cases registered in
the same cohort in the period 1991−2005;2

          (b) The observed increase in the incidence of thyroid cancer is attributable to a variety of factors: increased spontaneous incidence rate with aging of the birth cohort, radiation
          exposure, awareness of thyroid cancer risk after the accident, and improvement of diagnostic methods to detect thyroid cancer;

          (c) The Committee estimated that the fraction of the incidence of thyroid cancer attributable to radiation exposure among non-evacuated residents of Belarus, Ukraine and the four most contaminated oblasts of the Russian Federation, who were children or adolescents at the time of the accident,

is of the order of 0.25. The uncertainty range of the
estimated attributable fraction extends at least from 0.07 to 0.5…

…Thus, the estimates of the attributable fraction of 0.6 and 0.25 may be considered to be rough estimates for the whole period 1991–2015…

…There are indications of a possible biomarker for radiation-induced thyroid cancer at ages below 20, but independent confirmation is necessary.

In the absence of a biomarker, it is impossible to distinguish a radiation-related thyroid cancer from one that develops from other causes.

An observed thyroid cancer in an individual among the population of those exposed as children or adolescents at the time of the accident

cannot therefore be unequivocally attributed to radiation exposure at the present time…”

          • manbearpig says:

So the UN says the fraction of the incidence of thyroid cancer attributable to radiation exposure among non-evacuated residents of Belarus, Ukraine and the four most contaminated oblasts of the Russian Federation, who were children or adolescents [the most vulnerable section of the population] at the time of the accident,

is of the order of 0.25.

So it’s no surprise that the conclusion for the rest of Europe is:

“…So far published data do not point to a specific increase in childhood thyroid cancer in Western Europe, that could be linked to the Chernobyl accident…”

            http://www.sfrp.asso.fr/medias/sfrp/documents/7-Hindie.pdf

            In 2006 the WHO reported:

“…In Belarus, the Russian Federation and Ukraine nearly 5 000 cases of thyroid cancer have now been diagnosed to date among children who were aged up to 18 years at the time of the accident.

While a large number of these cancers resulted from radiation following the accident [meaning an estimated 0.25% of 5000 or

            1,250 cases],

intense medical monitoring for thyroid disease among the affected population has also resulted in the detection of thyroid cancers at a sub-clinical level, and so contributed to the overall increase in thyroid cancer numbers.

Fortunately, even in children with advanced tumours, treatment has been highly effective and the general prognosis for young patients is good…

            For other forms of Cancer:

…The absence of demonstrated increases in cancer risk – apart from thyroid cancer – is not proof that no increase has occurred. Based on the experience of atomic bomb survivors, a small increase in the risk of cancer is expected, even at the low to moderate doses received. Such an increase, however, is expected to be difficult to identify…”

In 2016 the WHO confirms what Micheal Crichton stated, namely that:

“…the Psycho-social impact on mental health has been reported to be the Chernobyl accident’s

main public health impact that affected the largest number of people…

…Several international studies reported that Chernobyl-affected populations had anxiety levels that were twice as high than non-exposed population, and were more likely to report multiple unexplained physical symptoms and subjective poor health.

To some extent, these symptoms were driven by the belief that their health was adversely affected by the disaster and the fact that they were diagnosed by a physician with a “Chernobyl-related health problem”…”

            https://www.who.int/ionizing_radiation/chernobyl/Chernobyl-update.pdf

So Crichton concluded that Chernobyl was not thriller-worthy…

            but “pointing the bone” is…

and in 2016 the published numbers seem to corroborate his vision…

            if you can trust them…

          • mkey says:

I think that radiation as such is widely misunderstood and will require a lot of education, research and breaching through myths to correct the situation.

            • manbearpig says:

Well, there are and certainly will be even more large-scale open-air research on unconsenting populations to understand the exact effects of ionizing radiation on human subjects…to correct the situation…

but my “punchline” to the Chernobyl posts is in the moderation queue until Mr Corbett gets up as the Eastern dawn sounds the Western dusk…

it was quite simply that Micheal Crichton may’ve known what he was talking about…

it’s not polite to point the bone…

um, first I’d like to say how much watching this episode of Propaganda Watch was a cathartic and informative experience…as is most often the case with Mr Corbett’s work.

The chemtrails over “my” city today were historically multi-layered and abundant this day of the full moon and the concept of “gaslighting” took on a totally sensory and full-blown dimension as I thought about its portrayal in the media and the reactions of my entourage…

thirdly, and perhaps, irrelevantly, I was suddenly thrust back to my childhood…to the time I spent in “the Happy Valley” of Western Massachusetts, when I was friends, in 5th grade, with Erinn Cosby. We weren’t long term BFs or anything but I spent a little time with her and her family – we bought ice skates, went skating and then over to their house, houses actually, and I really did like and get along with Erinn who was a couple of years younger and less well with Erika who was just a year younger, but I remember being extremely impressed by Camille, Bill Cosby’s wife, her charisma, dignity, elegance and kindness…and her gorgeous hat collection on the wall…

For the first time after listening to this Propaganda Watch that I’d place among the best, I decided to give this whole atrocious Cosby affair some thought and, for the moment, only a few minutes of research.

Yet, having known them, in their element, however fleetingly, I’ve come to the very strongly intuitive conclusion that Bill Cosby is truly innocent of the charges against him and is a victim of something…else…

  6. Libertydan says:

There is a much bigger picture behind the propaganda. I have seen where J.P. Morgan had determined in 1909 that he only had to control the editing of 25 U.S. Newspapers in order to control America’s public opinion on an issue. Using this knowledge he purchased editing rights to the list of Newspapers and used them as a tool to sell the Federal Reserve Act in 1913.
As time goes on, the private owners of the Federal Reserve have used their power over the money supply to gain more and more power. In 1913 the privately owned Federal Reserve took control of the United States Dollar which was defined as a specific amount of Silver and thus limited by Gold and Silver held by the United States. In 1944 at Breton Woods, NH, the U.S. Dollar was accepted as the “World Reserve Currency” because it was still backed by gold and silver. However, soon after the November 1963 Coop, the U.S. Dollar was replaced with Federal Reserve Notes which could be created without limits by the owners of the Federal Reserve. This unchecked power over an unlimited supply of the world reserve currency has given these elites unprecedented powers.
It should be no surprise to find that most major Party candidates in western countries are controlled by elites pulling their strings from behind the scene. From what I have been able to gather, these elites look for candidates that they can control, and indeed pedophiles and/or those that can be blackmailed for some other means are the kinds of people that they fund and promote. As I see it, Epstein is but a middleman between the Elites and the politicians. His job is to corrupt and provide a means to control politicians. Not that he isn’t a sick bastard in his own right, but we have bigger fish to fry here and they are not politicians per Se.

    • Trudy-Alan says:

Will not be long before the Fed’s swan song: through fractional reserve lending, supported by the fiat currency’s uncontrollable printing press. Then a Treasury dept. again issues paper backed by something of value, i.e.; more than future taxpaying obligations for current credit, debiting yet unborn citizenry.

    Can Propaganda be neutralized?

    – Silver Prices Jump & The Alternative Media –
I want to mention an interesting recent phenomena which I attribute (at least in part) to the Alternative Media.

Around Monday, July 15, Mike Maloney (and other silver proponents) point to a ZeroHedge article of July 11th entitled: “A Whale is Accumulating Silver Futures”.
Mike runs through the details of the article in his 7 minute video.
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SkqdNa6mHy0

Here is the phenomenon which I noticed following Monday, and into the Market opening on Tuesday, July 16th…
    Silver prices pop.
Silver goes up, while surprisingly gold goes down slightly as the DXY (The Dollar) goes up. Typically, silver price direction is a reflection of gold price direction, with gold acting like the flagship.

    Coincidence?
Yea, sure, alright then… just another coincidence in a long list of wild coincidences I have observed over the years.

While I can’t “prove it”, I feel like the alternative media played a role on Tuesday’s unusual jump in silver prices. It sure ain’t the MainStreamMedia shouting “Buy silver!” on Monday.

    – My takeaway –
The alternative media does exert influence.
Perhaps it sometimes exerts more influence than we realize.
We really don’t know. Google sure ain’t gonna tell us.
    …and…
Probably, that influence becomes more effective when people have skin in the game or are looking to make a buck. Likely, the power of making the buck can not be underestimated.

    • mkey says:

As I’m reading this, silver has loads of price increase potential so even relatively minor moves can be sizable. If something shouldn’t be underestimated, that’s the effect of “paper gold” on the markets.

      • HomeRemedySupply says:

        You are absolutely correct.
At this stage, even a few cents per ounce has an impact percentage-wise.

The current silver price to gold price ratio is way out of balance, both from a historical ratio standard and also from an ability to mine ratio standard.

This is interesting and refers to previous videos…
Why A Higher Silver Price is Going To Stun Markets – Mike Maloney & Jeff Clark Gold
        https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9hCcfWGF50

As I understand it (via the rumor mill & articles), J.P. Morgan is holding a huge cache of silver. But some other big players are also, including those involved with silver ETFs (Exchange Traded Fund investment vehicles).

In the 90’s, briefly, I was in the jewelry business. I remember going to the silver jewelry wholesalers and weighing out the silver jewelry, basing the price on the current price of silver.

What Mr. Corbett states in this video is so obvious that it is a pity that he must point it out. So very, very obvious, but people are having their minds bent and cannot see for themselves anymore. Only a few can resist the mass mind control.

  12. scpat says:

When thinking of examples of gaslighting, Hillary Clinton stumbling (read: becoming unconscious and falling) during her 2016 presidential campaign, covered by CNN and others, comes to mind. James covered this when it happened and pointed out that it was gaslighting. Can’t find the video, but I remember him discussing this.

One of the worst lines in the Atlantic piece is, “Of course, the notion that the Epstein case somehow validates every outlandish assertion uttered by the tinfoil-hat brigade is absurd.” So he is basically saying, “hey all you conspiracy theorists out there, don’t get too uppity or confident just because this conspiracy has made mainstream news and been validated as a true conspiracy. The rest of your conspiracy theories are false.” I think one of the biggest motives of the ruling class is maintaining the status quo. They don’t want people to start wondering what other conspiracies might be true.

    • cooly says:

      scpat-

That is their primary motive. Any alternative to that is off the table. Once people have power, they don’t want to lose it. They will strangle puppies and kittens (and murder a shitload of people anywhere, any time, whatever works) to preserve that power. They have the mentality of a small child- “Mine! Mine! Mine!” They never outgrow that for some reason.

Man, I cannot stop clapping. I’ve been clapping for 15 minutes. Corbett is incredible and truly one of the very few out there with such pinpoint precision. A jazz musician would say “yeah, he can play”.

Just one question. Are these writers conscious of the technique Corbett refers to or are they just so formatted and mind-controlled from birth that it comes out naturally? I think the latter, but would like to know Corbett’s opinion. McKay’s bio doesn’t seem to describe an intelligent master propagandist, but just one more idiot raised by the system. What Corbett describes seems to come from “education”.

Back to clapping. I’ll clap for two weeks.

    NOTE TO STUPID ELITISTS

Take your ‘ruling class’ verbiage and stuff it. I’m sick to the teeth of you. Your pretention and arrogance blinds you. In case you didn’t know, the term CONSPIRACY THEORY/ISTS has lost its pull with the general public. Why? Your MSM accomplices have used it for decades to explain away all your evil deeds–deceptions, lies, murders, wars, torture, slavery to name a few. Now you are attempting to use the old stand-by phrase again to explain away your pedophile friends and their trafficking of innocents which served your sicko best buddies allowing them to torture and rape children.

It’s no one’s imagination, Atlantic Magazine. At one time yours would have been considered a good, factual read–no more. THE FACTS ARE: EPSTEIN’S CRIMES and HIS PROPERTIES ARE DOCUMENTED. ACOSTA’S UNLAWFUL DEAL WITH HIM IS DOCUMENTED. If a conspiracy exists it’s among YOUR ranks and those of your psycho overlords.

And Ms. Merlan you can keep your twisted logic to yourself. It’s disgusting and embarrassing to read your sad attempt at straddling the fence by shaming those who try to protect the world’s innocents and stop their criminal pursuers. This isn’t about you embracing your paycheck.

Wow-first time I got a ‘this website may be dangerous’ warning from clicking my Corbett Report bookmark. You must be over the target, James!

  17. woody says:

I just got a notice on Firefox and Brave that this site isn’t secure, I guess it might be an Australia thing? Censorship?

    • HomeRemedySupply says:

…a notice that this site isn’t secure.

Much of the time, I get the same type of notice on my Browsers.
      I’m in Texas.

I got it all figured out though…

I guess The Corbett Report doesn’t make “The Powers That Should Not Be” feel secure.
TPTSNB seem to feel secure with CNN, The Atlantic, other dinosaur media, and perhaps reptilian Teddy Bears.

My firefox says your certificate has expired – no chance for me to report this issue so it’s up to your tech-guys to renew the certificate…

  19. AlainBos says:

mh,when I click it now, the message doesn’t appear – so it’s either fixed or it’s a hint-from-them that hints to their control-capabilities

Since this was just a small intrusion I wouldn’t worry about it – files on my laptop are often deleted or changed and I no longer pay attention to it – okay with some documents deleted it angers me a bit… but hey that’s normal

    • mkey says:

Expired certificares an intrusion don’t make. Up to just recently much of the web was http only. SSL makes things more robust and secure, but an expired certificate is just that.

  20. Corbett says:

Please note: the SSL certificate for the site did expire in the past hour and I have just renewed it. This was not censorship or outside interference and the issue has been resolved.

I think what Mckay is arguing about has nothing to do with legitimate conspiracy theorists like on this site. The author is probably arguing about the people claiming to be conspiracy theorists that completely make up nonsense.

Every proven conspiracy always has people twisting it to make the conspiracy more entertaining and easy to understand. These are the people that we here are lumped with.

    • Vigilant says:

If that was the case Coppins would (or should) have made a distinction between legitimate and nonsensical conspiracy theorists / theories but since no such distinction was made we are left to assume that either Coppins is guilty of massive generalizations and lacks proper critical thinking skills or we can assume that the article was written in a deliberately deceptive manner. I personally don’t buy the idea that Coppins feels that any CT is legitimate.

      Thanks Vigilant.
      Excellent catch!
Just like you pointed out, a lot of folks see through that snarky propaganda of McKay.

It becomes very evident that Coppins is not concerned about the victims of elite sexual predators. Decency has long left the McKay keyboard, and he doesn’t even recognize it.

(By the way, you aren’t the only one who has slipped up occasionally by shouting out insults and name calling. I’ve eaten a lot of Ivory soap over the years.)

Thanks James for doing this type of video. This type of “writing” or “reporting” is the reason I stopped looking at any mainstream media a long time ago. Cheers to you for not giving up and still looking over it daily.

  25. siamdave says:

nice rant as always, James, but I think you’re mostly speaking to the converted, or to the choir as it were. I also wonder if you’re not reading a bit too much into this – somebody said awhile ago that this is the age of stupidity, and this could be nothing more than that – so many people have gone right off the deep end with ‘trump derangement syndrome’ that they are truly living in some kind of gagaland, completely out of touch with reality, and they seem to feel that any kind of attack on those they perceive as ‘enemy’ (aka we in the ‘reality based world’) will not be questioned so they can say any stupid thing they want – and as you point out, there is a great deal of stupid things being said these days.
But what the rulers of these stupid orcs are up to is much more serious (as of course you have noted often and well), using propaganda and indoctrination in their ongoing and ramped up effort to get some serious controls on the internet to slow down as much as possible those of us trying to point out what is really going on – I think they feel in some danger now, because their lies are getting so very stupid so often, as you point out here, and there are still a lot of Americans and others (Cdn here like yourself, although I think most Cdns are pretty much beyond hope now) who have about had enough of being treated like witless proles in 1984 and are about ready to start pushing back. But their rhetoric is pretty funny sometimes, if dangerous – you may have seen this a day or two ago in one of the Cdn papers – – https://nationalpost.com/news/politics/foreign-actors-could-use-artificial-intelligence-to-undermine-democracy-canadian-officials-warn-in-internal-reports#comments-area

    – in which one line is – ‘our “common view of reality” may need to be bolstered to counter the threat.’

    – and to which I commented – LOL – translation – we need to hit our own indoctrination and propaganda harder, and get some pretty good controls on the internet to stop the damn peasants from getting any information exposing the lies they live under …. )

    • manbearpig says:

Well! Those two Cosby videos are quite compelling indeed! They appear to be flawlessly documented and incidentally confirm my own profound sense that the allegations against Cosby are contrived murderous mendacious malevolence… High profile entertainment personalities who acquire a potentially enormous influence over public opinion can apparently be done away with… I’m thinking of a couple of French performers: a stand up comedian by the name of Coluche and a singer called Daniel Balavoine…

I haven’t watched the third video entirely yet but…I believe it’s the same researcher…? Just a different topic…

While reading through the Atlantic article I couldn’t help but think that it won’t be long before these presitutes get replaced by AI.

Tech like that demonstrated by the openAI project can already write articles at that level…
    https://techcrunch.com/2019/02/17/openai-text-generator-dangerous/

The only thing holding back the AI at the moment is the development of an AA (Artificial Asshole) for the bosses to kick when they don’t like the story.

I left a mildly cryptic post on the Silicon Eugenics episode. I’ll tie it in on the Epstein case. By now, I’m sure you heard the latest.
What I find curious is how and why did Jaron Lanier get involved with Epstein. My guess is the 6 degrees of separation. A friend of a friend of a friend scenario. In the latest about Epstein, Lanier shared a piece of his experience with Epstein. In one article, it’s mentioned that prominent scientists were recruited/screened to donate their sperm to create a more intelligent race of people and these scientists may have been more interested in Epstein’s money more-so than his modus operandi.
Jaron Lanier is a brilliant visionary. I’ve been following his work since 1991. Get past his voice (like you have to do with Jordan Peterson) and listen to what he says and it’s mind blowing. From what I’ve read, his interest in Transhumanism is more about longvity than eugenics.
What I’d like to know is, why did Lanier decide to share this appalling news now as opposed to when he first experienced Epstein’s bizarre quest.
Maybe Lanier did share it with someone and it never made the news.-Or he told the wrong people. I wonder who approached Lanier, knowing his relation with Epstein.
Regardless of what these answers are, I’m really disappointed with Lanier and this whole story. It’s really sad what is happening right in front of us and we don’t do anything about it.
