It’s not often that you see an MSM headline that tells an entire story, complete with a plot and sub-plot, but when you do it’s usually in a tabloid.
Such is the case with this whopper from The Daily Fail:
Talk about a headline. But look at what it tells us: The longest war in American history may finally be coming to an end, not because any strategic objective has been met but because . . . someone is scared that Trump might end the war? What on earth is going on here?

James, I found your implication about existence of a connection between “hostility” in the comments section and a low participation rate among your subscriber a bit excessive. I can only recall of one example that could maybe fit that bill which involved member “ashlee” (I think, an irregular poster) who got heckled a bit by member “Gaslight” (who may have taken a break in the meantime from his incessant ways) but heckling is part and parcel of freedom of speech, isn’t it?
How large a percentage of people we encounter daily would be ready to speak out or at least express some opinions (on stuff they are somewhat competent at)? I’m not equating posting on an internet site with temerity, but there are certainly some strains in the fabric of society showing here, like the three percent rule. As Aaron Hawkins stated in one of his videos, to be ready to actually resists, one needs to prepare mentally first, don’t think you’ll just be magically ready when the time gets right. The vast majority of the subjects dealt with daily on this website are completely unimaginable to the vast majority of the public.
The community could be more accepting, but accepting of what? I have long lost any hope for the possibility that we’ll just all get along; that’s impossible. Look, as an example, at the recent podcast on the Ripple Effect and that bit involving 9/11 and Hunter Maast. At first, you were belittling him a bit with some relatively crude witticism (very extremely thinly applied,) but then you pulled back and found something from what he was saying that you could agree upon.
But the matter of the fact is, he showed a stellar example of hardcore rationalizations and circular logic involving something you are very knowledgeable about and hold dear to your heart. And yet you pulled back, in an attempt to stay on topic and to avoid offending Maats. Who, as my feeling for the duration of the remainder of the discussion confirmed, you did manage to offend, even if no insults had been used, but he kept at a distance, probably feeling a prickly sensation against his bubble. In the end you catered a bit to his ego and made things right (as if there was any need,) but I’m not sure if there’s any silver lining to be found here. Is there any real difference between holding someone’s hand through an ordeal and just putting it all out there in a full frontal fashion? If there is danger that one may just walk out the door if the second method is applied, does that mean we’re stuck with pussyfooting around?
I am 100% on board with “eliminating” insults and sticking to grace, but I personally don’t care much about insults. In fact, when discussing (in a non belligerent fashion) with someone to find yourself on the receiving end of on insult equals an instant win (as if there was something to be won) or at least a huge (and free) margin of advantage.

It may be possible to just hide the bits you don't want by changing the style sheets on the server, however I'm not familiar with wordpress at all.
I think part of the hostility may have come about by the way the new comment section looked and operated, so hopefully it will calm down a little now.

I think comments need to be structured.
You could have “sections” in your comments. These sections are posts that you made yourself. And we can (only?) reply to those posts.
It would look like:

Yes that certainly is a headline to cause one to do a double-take!
Interestingly I read another one yesterday that almost caused me to fall off my chair!

And it came from the MSM no less.
But this is the part of the article that really shook me up…
“By far the biggest and most controversial proposed cut is the $115 million the agency would save by eliminating screening at airports where the flights have 60 passengers or less. Under that proposal, first reported by CNN, passengers with connecting flights would be screened at the larger airports, which have more sophisticated security measures, before boarding the next flight.”
You have to read this and really let it sink in.
It’s win-win on so many levels.
Would this come into effect because:
a) 17 years is a long time, and terrorists have forgotten how effective it was to hijack planes?
b) Knocking off a mere 60 passengers is not such a big deal, compared to 60+ passengers?
c) The money saved over the years will more than make up for a few potential hijackings that may disrupt the world once again?
d) People are growing weary of airport delays due to security checks?
e) It’s the smart thing to do?
f) ?
f) business as usual
Oh really?
Do you also think the U.S. negotiating peace with the Taliban is business as usual?
Although the article states that eliminating screening for smaller flights is still just a proposal, the mere fact that a TSA working group is even considering this is an eye opener.
Other than the U.S. officially declaring the war on terror is over, I don’t see any way they can stop this bogus program (screening) without getting some serious egg on their face.

I appreciate the update on Afghanistan by James Corbett in this recent article. What a long war! For what?!
Being an old codger, in some respects, the years 2001-2002 don’t seem all that long ago.
But to many of my co-workers and folks I run into, they were born in the 1990’s. This virtually is a lifetime of war, and then these kids sign up for the military. Geez…They were born into an odd mindset of American foreign domination which includes an image of “heroic patriotism”.
Some of these folks in their 20’s & early 30’s perhaps have air pockets in their brains. It is not unusual for me to see some odd attitudes and behaviors.
But I guess it is not exclusive to that generation.
For example:
– Left Turn Lanes –
– “What goes on in these people’s minds?” –
At many left turn lanes, traffic will build up with people wanting to turn left. The two lanes to the right are for “straight ahead”.
Yet, on occasions in the left turn lane there will be a car in front of me who stops one or two or three, even four, car lengths away from the car in front of them, while waiting for the arrow light to turn green. In other words, there is this long stretch of empty space in the queue of cars. So, here you have a line of cars waiting to turn left and thus the left turning line extends out into the “straight ahead” lanes.
It is like the driver is oblivious of the line of cars behind them and the potential traffic hazard. The drive could pull up using that long stretch of empty space in front of him. But he just sits there.
But…you don’t see this type of “long stretch of empty space between cars” at the drive-thru of fast food places.
Odd.
I could give other examples which I see everyday. Everyday.

Ummmm… I didn’t realize it was possible to talk about the so-called “Afghan War” without even breathing a so much as a syllable about opium. As I dimly recall there were some sort of stats reflecting low opium output in the year 2000 and then boom, you’ve got 9/11, the perfect pretext for Moving in with US soldiers literally overseeing an explosion in production. I must’ve missed a few chapters…
It’s hard to say what TPTSB consider worthy of having direct contrôl over…
But I could definately envision using what appears to be a military debacle (the so-called Afghan war which has probably been immensely profitable for the drug mafias like Bayer and Aventis and the Corsican Dons) to usher along the controlled demolition of the US, it’s image, it’s money, it’s mission as military arm of the deep state which is probably slated to be transferred East as well. Or simply change entirely in nature preferring viral bio-warfare.
Space, bio-warfare and ambiant surveillance have probably rendered warfare as we’ve known it over the last few centuries clunkily obsolete. Besides being turned on its own citizens the US military is probably most useful now as a pretext for perfecting robot/psyop/ cyborg experimentation. And now there’s the “Space Force”…
So what about opium? Has it been efficiently synthesized and rendered utterly obsolete like the rest of Earth’s creations, the jackbooted military and Uncle Sam himself?

The U.S. will never get what it wants out of any of the tribes in the region. All of them know what the U.S. is up to and will not concede anything. The U.S. may get some short term..something, but nothing of permanent value. A friend of mine did mercenary work in that region for 3 years. Even as a “tough guy” former Gung Ho spec. ops. soldier for the U.S. military he admitted to me, the last time I saw him years ago, we will never win that over there!
