Selling Stories For War and Profit

03/08/20156 Comments

Ever wonder how those ridiculous made-up stories demonizing the West’s enemies get propagated in the media? In this week’s subscriber newsletter, James takes on the cottage industry of selling lies to feed the war machine. James also demonstrates Canadian pronunciation with some friends in this month’s subscriber video.

Just want to let you know, I have a black screen when I try to play the video. It says “An error has occurred. Please try again later.” I got the same message just a few minutes ago when I tried to play the Climate Myths Busted video. That one did, however, play on youtube for me. I am on a pc, Windows 7, in the states.

Thanks for letting me know about the problem. It seems like YouTube has changed something with their embed code which has retroactively made all my embedded videos unplayable. It only involves a minor change in code to make it work, so the video embedded here should be working now, but I obviously can’t go back and do that for all the thousands of videos posted on the site. I’m still looking into it to see if there’s anything I can do about it other than changing each code by hand.

Having said that, as you said the videos will play on YouTube directly, so if there is a video that is being stubborn for you, please do play it from my channel:

I, as several other subscribers have been encountering a black screen recently on the videos you have bee posting. However, they display quite well, although in a slightly different format screes through other of your link, but they remain as black screen in the original posting (eg “Subscriber Video).

  4. Excellent article, as always, amassing the instances of media manipulation from different angles and players. We often think the MSM is out to dupe us through intentionally manipulated scripts and information, but this article also highlights that in many instances, the MSM is just a willing conduit of other actors who stand to gain something. Where the MSM dupes the masses is in its lack of questioning the things they choose to present. Whether that’s intentional or not is quite frankly unimportant in my opinion, as the effect is the same.
