    I wish I could be there =)
This question is a digression, but I really need to know:

Does anyone have some links I could follow to try to map out where USA has bombed in Syria?
I am thinking about airports, water and oil installations, and other important infrastructure.
If they really are taking out Assads capability to fight back if invaded by USA and their pals, I really would like to make a short documentary about it.

Thanx in advance, and have a great week-end dudes and dudettes =)

    Peace&Love

Is that a country side field behind you James? I thought your live in a more urban area, do you grow some vegetables?

Can’t make it to Groningen, but, enjoy!

I live an hour and a half’s drive from Groningen and really want to go but have to teach on Wed evening. I’m thinking about trying to “crash” the sold out seminar on Thursday. Does anyone know if there are any side doors one can sneak in through? Anyone got contacts there? Is the Thursday seminar going to be held in the same place as the Wednesday one?
    i.e.
Doopsgezinde Kerk, Oude Boteringestraat 33, Groningen

Just arrived, hoping I get a ticket. I did try booking before but the internet didn’t let me. So I figured turn up. 1200 km is a hell of a distance to get refused. I’ll see what I can wangle. Going to experience the town tonight.

      Dear jamesthethird,

I had the same problem with the online shop which was only in Dutch and I wasn’t able to buy tickets online. I tried several times. I communicated directly with someone from the University though, who said she would put two tickets aside for me at the door.(for Wed night seminar)
Are you going to the Uurwerker to meet James tomorrow? He’s going to be there from 2-5 pm. Can you find out his schedule and check out if there are any possibilities for the Thursday seminar? Maybe SRO. (Standing room only)
I’m not sure if I will be able to make it tomorrow. I’d appreciate it if you could contact me with this info.If I can’t make it perhaps you can collect my tickets for the Wed seminar(If she did what she promised) I’m trying to find my correspondence with her to get her name but haven’t been successful so far.

        Dear jamesthethird,
I just sent an e-mail to the lady from the studium generale in Groningen to see if she did in fact put the tickets aside for me as she promised. I hope to get an answer tomorrow morning.
I’ll let you know if there are any developments on my side.

    Hey James!

I’ll see you at the cafe around 15:30!

    Kim, from Sweden

  7. RobinHood77 says:

    Dear jamesthethird,
Were you able to get tickets? If not you can use the ones being held for me at the front door. I won’t be able to make it tonight.
Please let me know so I can inform the people involved.

  8. RobinHood77 says:

Dear Jamesthethird,(or anyone else who needs tickets)

If you give me a mobile phone number I will send you an sms with the name of the person the tickets are being held for. They have not been paid for so they will cost you 6 euros (two tickets)at the door.
If I don’t get an answer by 4:30 (Dutch time)I will inform the office to sell them to the first person who needs them.

  9. RobinHood77 says:

Just saw she works till 4 so scratch the last message. I’m going to call her in half an hour to tell her to sell the tickets to whoever needs them.

  10. jamesthethird says:

Thanks Robin. Shame I could only manage a short stay due to family commitments. I would have loved to have stayed longer and met more people. Next time I will do better planning. Maybe there might be some miles in having some kind of social conference. Thanks to all. I just wish I had more time to chat to everybody.
After suffering Paris last night I must say Groningen is an uplifting place.

    Hello everyone!

I just now realized that James had long since sent me my login data, so I’m finally able to post here. I just wanted to say that I truly enjoyed meeting all of you in Groningen, if only for such a brief period of time.
I certainly hope we will be able to meet again in the future!

    With kind regards, Jonathan

James is my buddy! In fact ALL of his circle are very likeable people.
Pilato, Guilllermo, David or the Geneva guy, Brock West, And sorry big guy with the big beard – I can’t remember your name! All wonderful and informed guys with tons to say, yet they don’t too far over my head. I thank you ALL! You all make the ugly truth easier to take.
    NOTE:
James be prepared, this time your little boy is going to be mad at you for abandoning him! But I think that you can bribe him, if you bought him a prize from your journey and let him know how much you missed him!
I can’t wait until you post your Netherlands stuff.
