Pentagon Caught Peddling Fake News About Airstrikes
Newsflash: The Pentagon has been lying to you for years.
OK, OK, so this is hardly a “Stop the presses!”-type revelation.
After all, this is the same Pentagon that still can’t account for trillions of dollars in “year end adjustments” on its books.
This is the same Pentagon that oversaw the theft of billions of dollars in cash that was sent to aid “reconstruction” efforts in Iraq following the 2003 invasion.
Heck, this is the same Pentagon that paid a British PR firm to make fake Al Qaeda videos for their black propaganda operations.
To appropriate an old joke: How can you tell if a Pentagon official is lying? His lips are moving.
So it shouldn’t be a surprise to discover that years and years of official Pentagon airstrike data has just been proven to be a complete fabrication.

A criminal organization lying about their own criminal activities? I’m flabbergasted. Weren’t there reports of USAF bombing same patches of a desert over and over again, when they were supposed to be bombing ISIS targets? Weren’t they doing the same in Vietnam, bombing jungles and whatnot? The army may run out of enemies, but that doesn’t mean MIC can take a breather.

…even with the “s” after http.
Firefox will allow you to set an exception and override the certificate error, which I did. It seems to be a technical error — the certificate doesn’t allow for “www” which is contained in the URL. This kind of message might possibly concern me if I was going to do financial transactions on the site, or give them personal information. But if you plan to only look at pages on the site, it’s no more dangerous than any other site, and very unlikely to cause you difficulty. [Yeah, I know this is over a month old, but I want to get this on the record for anyone who might happen by.]
I think we never trusted their statistics in the first place but it is a good thing to have caught them out and so wildly out. This gives people more power to ask questions and to change the filth of our warmongering. I say our as I am from the UK.

I have always found it interesting when people report year after year about the Pentagon missing $Trillions and Trillions of unaccounted for spending every year – that NOBODY ever notices that the missing money is 5-15 times the pentagons actual budget for that year!
For example, Businessinsider.com reported:

$6.5 Trillion in adjustments on a $600 Billion budget.
The unaccounted for spending adjustments are 11 times the budget!
So if the Pentagon spent its $600 Billion budget plus the unaccounted for $6.5 Trillion, doesn’t that mean they actually spent over $7 Trillion in 2015?
I can’t see how it means anything else. That would mean the Pentagon actually spent roughly 40% of the entire $18 Trillion US GDP in 2015. And similar amounts going back to at least 2001!
You then have to ask – where did they get $7.1 Trillion to spend when they were authorized only $600 Billion and the entire US Federal budget was only about $3.9 Trillion?
The ramifications of the Pentagon alone spending almost twice the entire federal budget are mind boggling!
Does it mean that the Pentagon creates money out of thin air like the Federal Reserve? Does the Fed directly fund the Pentagon? Does it mean the debt ceiling and total debt numbers are completely bogus? Does it mean that every metric we use to analyze the economy and government spending are wrong and made up?
I don’t know what it means. But since I started thinking about this some of Catherine Austin Fitts more far out comments on the government siphoning off money into a “black economy” seem to make more sense.
It may be an accrued amount, not an yearly figure, that’s what I presumed at least.
