As I understand the situation in Syria, the so called “freedom fighters” have basically been defeated, they hold the eastern part of Aleppo and that’s pretty much it for Syria.
As far as Daesh is concerned, they still control Mosul, Deir al-Zour and Raqqa however they’ve lost almost all their territory it had captured since 2014.
It seems to me that once the Syrian army retakes control of eastern Aleppo, then the “Free Syrian Army” is done for, the only ones still holding territory in Syria will be Daesh.
So what is the end game? Who broke the cease fire and why?

Regardless of everything you’ve said, Russia and the Syrian regime are clearly bombing civilians in Aleppo. Such attacks cannot be an acceptable means of attacking a limited number of rebels, whatever their actions. Hospitals have been deliberately targeted as well. Even if some of the reports are fabricated you clearly can’t dismiss all of them. Just because the West does all kinds of dodgy things is no justification for indiscriminate killing of civilians and must be condemned.
It’s a sad state of affairs, the Syrian people are caught in the middle of either a geopolitical battle or a massive pre-scripted globalist order out of chaos operation.
Appears to be the latter given how far along the wealthy Gulf oil nations are on the road to the NWO new economic & surveillance paradigm – beyond US and Europe. Iran too, with Tehran officially already a UN 2030 Sustainable Smart City with government issued biometric smart tracking cards touted in their slick Tehran Smart City brochure modeled after technocratic Singapore’s Octopus smart cards.

You seem to be under a bizarre delusion that the only source of information on Syria is controlled by western propaganda, apart from your own somehow perfect access to the truth. There are hundreds of sources, particularly Syrian ones, with no link to western govts that are documenting the bombing in Aleppo. Of course the West is manipulating things but so is Russia, the point is to sift through the mass of information to find some semblance of truth. Why on earth do you give credibility to an interview with Assad, as if he is some kind of impartial observer. It’s all very well applying your critical facilities to western news but to not do the same for the other side is just laughable.
Why would Assad bomb civilians you ask? Just look at images of Homs and Ghouta if you want to know his record on that. Both are just huge piles of rubble because people dared resist or were simply trapped.
Such an amazing display of willful obtusity, grahamaskey, to the ultimate responsibility for all of this mayhem. You should be embarrassed by its sheer implicit density.

Some of what you claim is indeed true, I don’t have any doubt that the US and others are involved behind events but your assessment is a gross simplification of all that is happening. If you bothered reading the accounts of such Syrians you would know that they are heartily sick of the claims you make. I give importance to the Assad interview because it was led by an antagonistic interviewer from a NATO member state, and Assad’s answers were spot on.
What would you recommend Assad do when a gang of armed people take over cities and villages in Syria and attack the army? Shall he cede one city after another to these criminals?

There are plenty of non MSN sources with direct connection to the Syrian people, which ever side of the struggle they are on that help provide a more detailed picture than the simplified one you imagine. Whilst some of the rebels are exactly what you describe, many others are not. Even many of the fighters in some of the jihadi groups are secular anti Assad Syrians because these groups are better armed and funded than what’s left of the moderate groups. To take Assad’s word on the version of events is no more rational than taking the CIAs. He has deliberately misrepresented the entire revolution as jihadis to discredit it and no matter how much the West stirred up trouble early on he still took the decision to fire on unarmed protesters, so both contributed to the inevitable descent into violence.

You cannot talk about revolution in Syria, maybe it could be (it isn’t) armed uprising. Syrians in proxy army are minority, but you will probably deny this widely accepted fact. They cannot be called rebels. Fleets of Toyotas, tanks, rocket launchers, tow missiles, excellent reconnaissance data, all kinds of sophisticated war gizmos, all of these cannot be made in Syrian garage nor is growing in the desert.
I’ve seen you are quite concerned with Assad bombing civilians and turning cities to ruble. Well, maybe you didn’t noticed that they are not playing chess nor go game. There is a fucking War!! People are dying. Don’t forget that soldiers are also human beings.
There is no sense that Assad is bombing civilians on purpose. Why risk plane and pilot for low value target and get public and international condemnation? 9- John Kerry negotiated the P5+1 agreement with Russia and Iran, lifting sanctions on Iran and allowing them to continue with their nuclear program.

10- John Kerry and Sergey Lavrov are both working hard to bring about peace in Syria, only to be sabotaged by a certain “click” on the ground.
