Monsatan On Trial For Roundup Cancer

03/11/201734 Comments

“For once in your life, listen to me and don’t play your political conniving games with the science to favor the registrants. For once do the right thing and don’t make decisions based on how it affects your bonus.”

These words, penned in 2013 by former Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) scientist Marion Copley, have an urgency seldom found in the dry correspondence that is typically passed between scientists. But this was no ordinary memo; it was an appeal, a desperate plea for action. And it was written on her death bed.

The letter is addressed to Jess Rowland, at that time the head of the EPA’s Cancer Assessment Review Committee (CARC). It begins by noting 14 separate effects of glyphosate (a herbicide marketed by Monsanto under the name “Roundup”) known to the EPA. As Copley explains in the letter, “any one of these mechanisms alone listed can cause tumors, but glyphosate causes all of them simultaneously.” She argues that the CARC should change its assessment of glyphosate from a “possible cause of cancer” to the more definitive “probable human carcinogen.” And she excoriates Rowland himself, noting that his “trivial MS degree from 1971 Nebraska is far outdated” and that as a result CARC science is 10 years behind the literature. She charges Rowland and his colleague, Anna Lowit, with intimidating staff and changing reports to favor industry interests. And she ends with these haunting words:

“I have cancer and I don’t want these serious issues in HED [the Health Effects Division] to go unaddressed before I go to my grave. I have done my duty.”

She may have done her duty, but she did not get her wish. Just nine months later she was dead, and the EPA still listed glyphosate as a “possible” carcinogen.

The list of effects that glyphosate has on the human body; the fact that it targets absorption of nutrients, causes tumor formation, would make this essentially a bioweapon. Slow-kill bioweapon. Do the people at the EPA who give this a “pass” believe they are immune? Are the worker-bees at Monsanto “just following orders”? I do not understand their thought processes. If they’re taking bribes for short-term luxury, or just collecting their paychecks, waiting for retirement; are they willing to accept the long-term consequence of cancer? What about their children? Their grandchildren? Are they ALL sociopaths – freed from the burden of conscience? It’s disgusting. Truly.

I remember a quote from some Monstersanto person that said something to the effect of them wanting to control the global food market. I can’t recall the exact quote, or who said it. But I think people like this have really lost, or sold their souls. They are psychopaths who value profits and control over life, the environment, even the human race. They’ve insulated themselves by buying the regulatory agencies and many politicians. They blind the people with massive PR campaigns and disinformation spread through universities. It will take some huge effort to do anything about them, sadly.

You and I have as much in common with these people as we have with a fruit fly. Thinking about them in terms of normal people is a mistake. They have no compassion, empathy nor regrets. Regular everyday Joe is just a tool to them, to be disposed of when is no longer needed, outdated or broken.

I was raised on a stock and grain farm in the Midwest, USA. Around 1964, USDA agents came to farms and started telling farmers the benefits of using herbicides on their corn and soybean crops; less time spent in the field and less weed seed in the harvest. Before then, we used cultivation and/or manually removed the weeds.

Before these agents started peddling that poison, wildlife around their was abundant: quail, turtle doves, rabbits, coyotes, deer, song birds and an abundance of bull frogs, croaking out their nightly songs.

Within five years of spreading those poisons–Atrazine for corn and Treflan for soybeans–the wildlife started slowly disappearing and within 10 years, was mostly gone. Profits were up, but the bull frogs were gone.
The wildlife was replaced by cancer clusters. Nearly every family either had someone dying from cancer or knew a close friend that was dying or dead.

Back then, no one put it together, but today we know that the damned herbicides killed off the wildlife and many a farmer.

Now they’re pushing this damned Roundup? They ought to be ’rounded up’ and brought to trial at the ICC for crimes against humanity.

My thoughts when i first came across the Monsanto Bayer merger “they know something we don’t, must be getting harder and harder to keep the lid on the ‘chemical damage can of worms’. Big outfits like Monsanto do not forgo rip off profits by handing the financial Baton to someone else”

    • HomeRemedySupply says:

My understanding is these Agricultural companies (e.g. Monsanto, Bayer, Syngenta, Dow, Dupont, BASF) are seeing their profits fall. Many of them have marketing arms which compete in the same territories with similar products. By combining companies, they can cut duplication yet expand their reach thus improving profits.

I have since been removed from the group after I was insulted and ridiculed by a group of people, one of which was the administrator. It has shocked me as this seems like a no brained to me but these people were educated and got amazingly angry at my claims and evidence from the notes in the article. They supplied only EPA test results from New Zealand and their own CV as their evidence but were so adamant that I was wrong and gave me the fake news malarkey. What is going on out there??!!

I work in a similar environment (education). Just had a big debate with a colleague about the mmr vaccine being linked to autism. The colleague is very comfortable with the falsified data (still on the CDC website, saying ‘no link’), and refuses to consider the whistleblower evidence (showing a definite link) — brought forth by one of the authors of the original study ( Wm Thompson). Puzzling, and frustrating. (The big pharma funded) Mainstream Media continues to dupe many people. Even so-called educators.

    • mkey says:

Every lie has two parties. You have the person telling the lie and on the other side is the person believing the lie.

The person telling the lie is usually motivated by personal gain and, at same later stage of the lie when things start to break up, they can find motivation in fear of failing and ridicule. Or, simply put, being proven wrong and possibly even a perjurer. I’m not sure this applies to our psychopaths in power because when all is said and done, these people are directly, legally and morally responsible for millions of dead, destroyed countries, untold generations set back for who knows how long. Your everyday liar would break under the weight of all of this depravity and probably kill himself in a short while after realization.

The person believing the lie is a whole different animal. During the earlier stages of the lie they probably aren’t even aware they are being lied to, but as time goes by and as wrinkles start to pile up and generally more and more disbelief is needed to stay oblivious to the facts, these people will enter the next stage and encounter the painful cognitive dissonance.

They will try to relieve their pain by attacking the perceived source of discomfort: the bearer of information which challenges their whole belief system. With most, I guess, this wedge will grow wider as time goes by and even more self obfuscation and rationalization will be needed to maintain the belief system, at which point the person being lied to will practically become an accessory to the lime and any related crimes. To admit you were being lied to for so long is to admit you have either been completely oblivious or in severe denial. Either way, it will take guts and whole lot of character to come forward in such conditions.

Maybe that’s what needs to be stressed, that there is no shame in admitting you believed some (gigantic) lies, without fear of hearing an “I told you so”. Maybe we need 12 steps to waking up, similar to the treated alcoholics program.

    16 – March – 2017
    To: All Members No.GN/2017/071

    Dear Members,

ECHA concludes glyphosate is not a carcinogen

The long awaited risk assessment on glyphosate was published yesterday on 15/3/2017. The Committee for Risk Assessment (RAC) of the European Chemicals Agency (ECHA) has concluded that glyphosate is NOT a carcinogen and therefore should not be classified as such.
ECHA conducted an independent review processes and after rigorously analysing the extensive data set, has classified glyphosate as non-carcinogenic, non-mutagenic, non-reprotoxic and non-genotoxic. Member States experts, stakeholders and the general public all had the opportunity to contribute to the evaluation at certain points in the process, which included a public consultation.

Full details can be accessed at:
    https://echa.europa.eu/-/glyphosate-not-classified-as-a-carcinogen-by-echa

Richard Garnett, Chairman of the European Glyphosate Task Force (GTF) stated: “The conclusion reached by the RAC reinforces the outcome of other evaluations of glyphosate which have been conducted by regulatory authorities around the world. The scientific evidence to support the renewal of glyphosate is overwhelming. On the basis of RAC’s robust assessment of scientific evidence, there is now no barrier to Member States renewing the approval for glyphosate in the EU.”

    Read more at:
    http://www.glyphosate.eu/gtf-statements

ECHA will now present its proposal for reauthorisation on a harmonised classification for glyphosate to the European Commission for final adoption. It is likely this will happen before the summer break and reports have mentioned “May” as possible timing for a final decision on the classification of glyphosate (within 6 months from receipt of the ECHA opinion).
Gafta will circulate decision when finally adopted.
