James, you need to do some further reading. Putin was NOT high in the KGB. He was little more than a desk clerk, and analyst of street level spying reports that came in, in Germany. He WAS asked to head up another, bureaucratic outfit by Yeltsin, which he did for a couple of years before moving into politics. You’re attitude to Putin smacks of “I, over most idiots, am just too bright to think Putin might be any good, in any way”. You make no reference to the changes and improvement in Russia since he dislodged Yeltsin and got rid of the USA oligarchs raping the country, has stopped the starving in Russia, and mediated an agreement that stopped USA and Syria and going to war. Oh – and the 80% approval rating !! I’m not a Putin “groupie” – I’m too old – but you should give credit where it’s due.
Hi James.
I agree with you that borders are just some lines on the map, and that’s especially apparent in a place like Syria. However, the place that’s called “Syria or whatever” was not “literately creation of the first world war”. This place has a real relevance in the real world, and has had this relevance since the early age of human civilization. The place that’s called “Syria or whatever” was divided into a few states during WWI, one of them is now called “The Syrian Arab Republic”. Many people confuse Syria, the name of the land, with The Syrian Arab Republic.
Currently, the majority of the Syrian people, that’s the people living in, or originating from, The Syrian Arab Republic, The Lebanese republic, The Jordanian Kingdom, and some parts of Iraq and Palestine, are fighting an aggression by the same powers that you are fighting with your work. Our fight is not to preserve these borders as you said in the interview, but to stay free as you want yourself and your son to be. Syrian officials said multiple times that they stand for the entire humanity against these aggressive powers.
You share the view that the Syrian Arab Republic is lead by a dictator with so many people you try to distance yourself from, and with so many people who don’t know anything about Syria except what they heard on MSM, so I think maybe you will appreciate how Assad views the aggression we are fighting:
“The aggression we face is not aimed at individuals or governments – as it appeared to some in the beginning, but rather at the structure of the country and its role, and conditioning the way people think in the long-term, to mere cattle driven by remote control.”
Thanks.
DEAR James,
As you say, MOST of you followers are Americans.
I do not doubt that what you say is true, but within the first 4 minutes you nonchalantly and flippantly let us know that that most of our founding fathers were nefarious, and our country was sent up to fail and the end is near. There is no hope either! We are screwed.
This is not at all what any of us Americans were taught to believe of course. Don’t you think that you could have made these declarations with a little bit of compassion or empathy?
Albeit the truth, I think that you lack a little bit of tact here. Maybe feign a little bit of remorse?
The U.S. is in fact a broken down and tattered marionette awaiting the dumpster. Which at least sounds more poetic than the way you put it: America is an now old retarded whore who now has full blown AIDS.
Regarding Kissinger’s role in America’s demise, is it possible that Putin is “keeping his enemy close”? I find it hard to believe that Putin would entertain Kissinger just because he is such a swell guy!
Too many things tell me that he hates the old SOB. And I bet Putin could easily outwit Kissinger. It is not hard to see thru Kissinger. Of course I could be wrong.
