As always, an amazing episode and synopsis of very important points and themes. I have some insights and questions to both the community and James. I apologize both for the length of this, if they appear repetitive or interconnected and if it seems scattered, but I wanted to textualize these thoughts before the fleeting moment of the epiphany has passed. James, I know you may not be able to answer these here, but perhaps you can address some of them in a future QFC.
(1)–As we go into 2015, with more focus on the various trade deals that seem to be spreading like poisonous mushrooms, I was wondering to what extent does this have to do with our trek toward “global governance”? To what extent could the constant signage of these trade deals around the globe by the various economic and geopolitical players eventually weave together some sort of grid of control, or a “spider web” of “global governance,” to which we are all subject to, since ordinary citizens have no say in the NAFTAs, WTOs or TPPs?
(2)–If so, would the “global governance” pyramid structure we have always talked about, have many different puppetmasters on top as they divvy up the global governance pie?
(3)–I tend to think that 2015 will further etch out and immortalize the multipolar express. To what extent do you suppose the alternative media has been complicit in this, in its tendency to succumb to a false image of the “NWO” as some sort of monolithic one party state or entity, that sits at the top of the pyramid and puppeteers things? Has this made us ignore the very thing which we should have been focusing on – the de-dollarization, engineered decline of the U.S., these various multilateral/bilateral trade deals pushed through by various members of the oligarchy and this sudden synergism of multipolarity?
(4)–If this is the case, would it not make more sense to actualize the idea of global governance in more carefully crafted, nuanced and subtle ways, where we would least expect it, especially if we are chasing (not necessarily false leads, but perhaps) less important leads, and thereby miss the forest for the trees? In other words, if we are on to their scheme, and they know we are, why would these ruling cliques establish global governance in such an obvious manner so as to confirm what we’ve been saying all along?
(5)–Taking this from James’ recent discussion on “Financial Survival” with Alfred Adask, there was a discussion about the ruling technocratic intelligentsia and how they are very smart, bright and capable people, perhaps as it applies to “global governance” and Machiavellian scheming, but less so with emotional intelligence. If so, to what extent do we underestimate the genius of the technocratic elite, since we have this idea that there will be this patently obvious godhead sitting at the top of the mythical “NWO” pyramid, when in reality, it is far less noticeable, far more subtle and nuanced and far more insidious?
(6)–Regarding the engineered demise of the U.S. – presumably to make way for this idea of “global governance”-To what extent would the increasing rate of these various multilateral/bilateral trade deals still be a power play towards this idea of global governance, to usher in an assortment of various multilateral and multipolar corporate-banking-surveillance state panoptic grids?
(7)–To the extent that oil, stocks, derivatives, forex and precious metal markets are manipulated and controlled, (e.g., LIBOR) to what extent is the the drop in oil a part of that? Given the recent economic woes in Russia relating to the depreciation of the ruble, I note ZeroHedge had a piece about the potential for China to bail out Russia via their currency swap agreement, which would be the first time the yuan would be used for such a thing. If so, to what extent do you believe this may also be an engineered geopolitical power play to continue the “de-dollarization” that is increasingly picking up the pace?
Thanks for the questions, AoC. Some of these questions will be answered (at least tangentially) in this week’s subscriber newsletter, but I’m interested in other people’s thoughts on these issues. Personally I think we’ll never get to the bottom of what “global government” means or why it is so insidious unless we realize how the WTOs and G20s and FSBs and OECDs and similar organizations are already creating the framework for de facto global government.
Hi James.
Regarding your idea of Truthers becoming known as awesome helpful community building guys (I’m paraphrasing). I’d like to mention a website that I have been working on http://www.worldchanging.me. The aim of the site is to answer the questions of; Theses problems are so big what could I possibly do? and Do my actions even make a difference anyway? The possible solutions are in the form of quests that you decide whether to do or not – once you have completed a quest you check-in and the number of World Changing quests completed on the site increases (ie the things you do count). The quests either take you from the easiest and cheapest action to the most difficult, or are a kind of research journey for example why say no to GMOs . Not every problem or solution is on the site as yet. We put up new quests regularly. We would love to get to the point where we have an engaged community of people using the site working together to design new quests/solutions to worldwide and local issues. A quest that is relevant to volunteering is our “Hands on Out There†quest that encourages people to volunteer for something they are passionate about once a month, fortnight or week: http://www.worldchanging.me/community/hands-on-out-there/level-1 and to check-in with what they are doing, blog posts and photos. We also have a quest to get your news from non-mainstream sources called “Tune In Independently†http://www.worldchanging.me/education-and-culture/tune-in-independently/level-1 which references the Corbett Report.
Thank you for posting this, Craig. I’d love to hear from any Corbett Report members that have used this site and their experience with it. Does the task-based format make this all easier to accomplish, i.e. a step-by-step approach rather than a we-have-to-change-it-all-at-once approach. Perhaps we could even set up a task for The Corbett Report community to work on together. I’m open to suggestions.
One of the other things we want to to have on the site is the ability for people to join groups on the site and for their actions to be totalled together. For example there could be a “Corbett Report Community†group with each member working on actions individually where they are in the world but coming together on the site and seeing that total increase from the collective effort. I’m not sure if we have all of the actions you mention in the Solutions videos but I’m sure we have a lot of them – like don’t consume GMO, grow your own food, support local, understand how the monetary system works (we have ones in the pipeline for understanding and acting on fluoride in the water and other issues) and as said before we would love to think through new solutions with like minded people.
I’ve been thinking a lot about what we as individuals can do to help others and make an impact in the world. https://www.pinterest.com/libertykes/acts-of-kindness-voluntarily-given/ Part of my inspiration has been watching your Solutions videos, James. They’re quite empowering. I began making a catalog of what I’ve found on the web related to acts of kindness that are voluntarily given. I think that if we as libertarians and/or voluntarists actually put our money where our mouth is and want to help others without the use of force, you’re right, we certainly do need to step it up to make more of an impact.
Thanks for the reply, Kaitlin. I’m glad someone else is on board with this agenda, because I’m serious about making this website more geared toward solutions than just chasing our tails looking for more conspiracies. If you have ideas or input on how best to do that, I’m all ears.
