Interview 947 – Lionel Breaks Down Little Brother

10/01/201415 Comments

We all know Big Brother; the all-seeing, all-knowing character that presides over the Orwellian surveillance society. But what about Little Brother? Is it possible to use the technology of the police state to undermine that tyranny, or is that the trap that is being set for us? Today we are joined by veteran trial lawyer and radio broadcaster Lionel of LionelMedia.com to discuss these and other issues. Don’t miss this fascinating, fast-paced and in-depth discussion on tyranny, surveillance, conspiracy and resistance.

“More of us than them and we could drown them in our urine.” I have never heard a more perfect analogy to our power in numbers. I can almost see it in my mind’s eye.

  2. jamesthethird says:

A motivating interview. As James said, it’s nice to hear some things that reinforce what we have thought by ourselves. I feel a kind of Albert & Costello, Morcambe & Wise coming on.
I can see it Corbett ‘n Lionel the new duo in town. I’m really looking forward to the next one.
I use facebook to torment as well. It was only yesterday I posted a reference to big brother and privacy as they introduced No Tax Disc in Britain. It ironically ended in our very own children being tagged, under their skin. I know some are laughing now but maybe just maybe it might slowly sink in.
There is nothing better than Not feeling alone. Thanks again.

If who controls the Dialogue rules the world, then we take back the power by seizing control of the Narrative. Should Little Brother discover Privacy not only valuable but desirable, thus begins a new Dialogue on the larger issue of ubiquitous surveillance. The answers are there, if we could but only recognize them, declare them through a change in the narrative, and thereby step forward and embrace them. Positive change will come when the enlightened demand it without compromise.

Great! Thanks James! Can you post the link of the Facebook fortuneteller prank video please?

    Thanks,

    Camille.

Here is a surrealist popular sousveillance video that saved a lawyer from an illegal struck off https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bQ-q8I1LAGo&index=34&list=PLzHtFW-mC6vGvXNqFcGU2cxa_1pieWOvh

  6. rico says:

James,Lionel needs to become a regular.

  7. julie.beal says:

I agree – Lionel is a great character 😉 and I hope you have him back, James.

Lionel’s right about the smartphone – and the irony that people aid Big Brother by using one.

All of the technology is proprietary and reliance upon it is the defining characteristic of the New World Order we find ourselves in.

The more hooked you get, the more likely you are to want to sign up with an Identity Provider….

I’m glad I don’t have to sign in with one to leave a comment here! Nice one James 🙂

  8. rockshot says:

I agree with Rico! Lionel eloquently explains WHY I do not have a cell phone or shop at those stupid “rewards cards” stores. The fact that yesterday I bought 3 pounds of rice Oct. 1, 2014 at 15:04:37 is nothing to be ashamed of and I really am not ashamed of that fact. However, I DO resent somebody or anybody making it THEIR business! Although I am not old enough I live in a 50+ gated community and I also hate the nosiness. I have had people demanding to know why I am cleaning my windows!
I have never heard of this guy, but I really like him.
Spoiler alert, “Our James” say “B.S.” in the next vid! I am so shocked!

  9. stellar_consortium says:

Wow, what a great interview. Brilliant. I see I’m not the only one here who was introduced to Lionel for the first time via this interview. Thanks guys!

  10. bbtampa says:

Rico is spot on James as this should be a recurring conversation.

  11. 2rad4m says:

    Most excellent and entertaining guest.

  12. RobinHood77 says:

Great show! I really enjoyed it, watched it twice and shared.

  13. Algorithm of Consciousness says:

Excellent interview with an excellent guest regarding an all too important topic.

Yet, as we discuss this, the iZombies dutifully march to their designated drop zones to collect the latest from the finest panoptic gadgetry the serpentine surveillance state has to offer.

Notice how most of “social media” platforms are geared to appeal to the narcissistic and vainglorious pop-culture consumerist types who voraciously consume this, dare I say, like zombies consuming brains.

I completely agree with Lionel on that point of people casually giving out all of their lives on social media. I feel sorry for the kids growing up in the cage of the digital panoptic age. Most people will never know what it was like before, to live in a time when you could enjoy being a kid, such as playing outside.

I like how you both note that the rolling out of this digital dystopia is not done all of a sudden so as to shock the conscience and make it noticeable. Rather, it is done through “learned helplessness” and “habituation” – by constantly propounding into the consciousness of the public at large, from every orifice of communication, since birth, to slowly mold the consciousness of that public to casually, passively and methodically accept, adopt and yearn for their own digitized servitude (e.g., Huxley’s “Brave New World”).
