09/25/20144 Comments

In his new book “The 2001 Anthrax Deception,” Dr. Graeme MacQueen, co-editor of the Journal of 9/11 Studies, lays out the case for a domestic conspiracy in the 2001 anthrax attacks in the US. In this conversation, James and Graeme discuss the context in which these attacks happened, the way they were portrayed by the government and the mainstream media, their ultimate effect, and the voluminous evidence that disproves the FBI’s assertion that the attacks were the work of Dr. Bruce Ivins.

This is simply one of the best interviews I have ever heard. Of course Mr. MacQueen is superbly well informed and conveys a spontaneous sense of “discovery” makes it all captivating. But it bears repeating that your own preparation James is remarkable, all the more so for your almost invisible presence that none the less guides the interview flawlessly. Well done.

I will read the book but am curious as to whether the connection is made to the deaths of well known microbiologists during this period. Certainly that supports the idea of a conspiracy involving powerful individual.

Thank you for the intelligence and courage displayed in the writing of the book and in the interview. It is not a small thing to take on such a large antagonist.

    Excellent.

Another interview, like the David Kelly one, that I somehow missed the first time around.

This really validates your decision to republish selected items James – I hope you continue with this practice.

It was mentioned late in the interview that this operation was a failure or incomplete but one thing stood out to me that wasn’t mentioned. Maybe it’s stated in the book, but it seems like the whole point of the anthrax hoax was to scare policy makers into passing the patriot act as quickly as possible without question. If so, it was a raging success. Policy makers were definitely the targets of the propaganda and, more so, the fear-mongering. That could also be the reason this episode is only a passing memory for the public. The events of 9-11 are geared towards citizens so it continues to be reverberated across the airwaves at every opportunity. The anthrax hoax served its purpose so now it’s left to be forgotten.
