back in march of 2017, Joy, poet of code, began speaking on TED’s propaganda Talks about the lamentable skin-colour “bias” in facial recognition
before we’d even begun to debate and ascertain whether facial recognition itself was ethical!! Great way to skirt that important debate: just move onto the identity politics “black lives matter” aspect of facial recognition!

Mr Maharrey described very well how everyone’s concerned by privacy “that’s why we put curtains on the windows” etc.

thanks to this extraordinary website that is the Corbett Report and its extraordinary commenters, I learned with great initial skepticism about Macron’s baby “Alicem”. Thanks to this site I’ve been able to show people the government document mentioning this “experimental” program as imminent to install a “universal” solution to the imminent single biometric identity for the entire French population for summer of 2021 as I understand it. (it was also interesting for people to see and understand the implications that this was more widely publicized in the international press than in their own French press; Nobody but nobody had heard about it, even folks poring daily over data protection documents).
Thanks to this site I was able to warn people who were as skeptical as I was at the outset and who have since gone and done their homework. Hopefully there will be a backlash. I wish the same thing would happen with Linky and 5G.
In my personal experience, living in a decidedly socialist country, I haven’t noticed that left-wing people are more open to criticizing and being wary of government. Left-wing folks want a global green climate deal which as we here know includes more tyranny than most any other project in the history of humanity.

I’m all for you except i gotta pushback on any anti-FDA activism. The supplement market is flooded with rubbish – 3/4 of the products sold contain no trace of the primary ingredient on the label. They’re a small but effective agency who keep small outbreaks of diarrhea from exploding into huge ones. I’m asking you please monitor them keep then honest but don’t cripple them please!

A friend of mine was detained by police & removed from a Wallmart as the facial recognition misidentified him as a person who had a warrant for his arrest. He is caucasion and the facial recognition was wrong. He was escorted out of the store by police and put into the back of the car while they checked his ID. What if.. he had something(substance) in his pocket they didn’t like, what if he was late for work or was fired, missed picking up kids from school, or worse, made a furtive jesture or ran for some other reason & ends up being shot.. on & on. Everything’s a nail when all you have is a hammer and if the hammer is Facial recognition everyone is a suspect until proven innocent. I’m in the thick of it, driving with my visor down to block out camera views when I drive, avoiding camera saturated areas & situations. I am no criminal , I’m not photogenic & I don’t like having my image stolen. In a deeper sense I pay homage to native beleifs in which they believed that a piece of your soul was stolen or trapped interdimensionally. See, I have created an entire psychological justification structure just to support my need to not be under the scrutiny of the all seeing ever-watching eye. If I were a teen I would get the spraypaint or beebee gun out, but I’m just a seemingly normal non-criminal person going about my business. For the record – haha

I enjoyed it, and it gives hope at gaining control over our lives from a local level.
Michael had some good analogies and “comeback phrases” in order to get a point across.
The Ex-wife thing was funny.
If we submit to living under an unaccountable authority then it will use whatever means it can to keep us under submission.
It is delusional to think that placing “limits†on some of these means, especially where those limits will just be enforced by another branch of the same authority, is in any way meaningful.
James, as a Canadian citizen you will know that our hundreds of governments – municipal, provincial and federal, are veterans at disrupting lawful resistance to the relentless intrusions into our daily lives. In your youth, the RCMP SS was caught opening private mail in back-rooms of post offices. What resulted? The Feds took that tedious work out of busy SS hands – setting up a chain of mail-opening factories across the country, staffed by non-thinking peons who just want to get paid. Toronto folk once didn’t want to add garbage sorting to their daily grooming regimen. Voila. Require all disposal in clear bags so the spoilsports can be caught and ticketed. More recently, the overlords chose to single out pesky Foreigner’s who insist on buying expensive (and overtaxed) micro-apartments in Vancouver’s downtown, but who won’t rent to the city’s designated “downtrodden”. The Vancouver CHEKISTY created a municipal intelligence agency to spy on the owners consumption of energy and water, and then data-match with the federal spy agencies in order to corner the bastards and teach them to be “decent” and “loving,” like we native-born Canucks. Well, every CAN-SOC indoctrinated Canadian I ever met could spout a dozen reasons why it was okay to stick-it to the guy down the street.
The evidence piles up that Canadians actually relished the coming of the Orwellian surveillance state. Currently there is ZERO political resistance in any jurisdiction. The proof that spying is fully normalized is that Canadians now do it to each other. Restaurants routinely record patrons as we eat. The posties video us as we lick stamps and mail a postcard. The librarians watch as we browse their collections. Condo associations here routinely monitor garbage bins in Hi-Def colour to penalize “owners” who fail to sort their garbage. Isn’t everyone driving with a camera recording the traffic, convinced it will back them up their story in an insurance dispute? TELUS in B.C. now installs “home security” systems that point a Hi-Def camera and microphone INTO your house, and not at potential intruders outside the home. There are no innocents remaining hereabouts that I could point to.
So I guess I should take comfort from your interview with an intelligent and committed American resister (a good man for sure). But somehow I don’t.
I only respond today because I benefit directly from your efforts and feel that “lurking” at a site without at least coughing once in a while, is itself a sneaky behaviour. I am no sneak. Cheers!

In a federal lawsuit filed this week, Former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosentein has been implicated in yet another improper government spy operation.
In the new complaint, Attkisson v. Rosenstein et.al., investigative journalist Sharyl Attkisson names former Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosentein and four other Justice Department officials as the government agents who of illegally survielled her electronic devices…
…Attkisson took to Twitter Thursday to explain in a video update about her case that she had just filed a new lawsuit in her years long fight “to hold the government agents accountable for the intrusions into my computer.â€
In a comprehensive summary of the case at sharylattkisson.com, the reporter alleges that the intrusions began in 2011 while she was reporting at CBS on the massive government gunwalking scandal “Fast and Furious.†The government continued to spy on her computers while she was reporting on the Benghazi scandal…
…“We have just filed a new complaint which I hope satisfies one of the issues a judge had that we’ve not been able to name the actual names of the government agents involved in the intrusion,†Attkison announced in her video. “Of course we argued we could not name the names because the government and courts would not permit us discovery to learn the names!â€
She added: “We did some additional detective work. We have five names to present to the court—names based on our information that were directly involved in the surveillance of my computers. One of them is Rod Rosenstein, then U.S. Attorney in Baltimore, a former Department of Justice official. 
…Besides Rosenstein, the other defendants named in the complaint are Shawn Henry, Sean Wesley Bridges, Robert Clarke, and Ryan White…
…Shaun Wesley Bridges served…with the U.S. Secret Service…was assigned to the Baltimore Silk Road Task Force…In 2015 and 2017, Bridges was convicted of corruption related to his government work, and is now serving a prison sentence…

…Attkisson alleges that “numerous other Americans†were also targeted by Rosenstein’s unit while he was the U.S. Attorney in Baltimore, Maryland.
I met Michael Maharrey after a presentation he did in Ann Arbor Michigan. A group local Campaign for Liberty (C4L) members showed up to support him and we all went out for a few beers afterwards. Yep, Mike is a genuine freedom fighter, and the “Tenth Amendment Center” (tenthamendmentcenter.org) does more with less money than any group I can think of.
Amendment X (10) is part of “The Bill of Rights” and is/was incorporated into the United States Constitution before it was Ratified because the Constitution was not acceptable, by the free and Independent States, without these Guarantees. Note that the U.S. Constitution created a Federal Government with only 28 delegated Powers, and that Amendment X reads;
“The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people.”
Indeed, the people have these guarantees known as “The Bill of Rights” that the Federal Government will never violate, yet with the passage of the “Burn the Bill of Rights Act” (Patriot Act), the Government has come to violate every basic human Right.
How did that happen? Follow the Money to it’s point of creation and you will see. Note that the United States Dollar is defined as a specific weight in silver coin. After the 1963 Coup which included the Assassination of both JFK and RFK, Silver Certificates and Silver Coins were no longer produced. As I like to say, when the Money went bad everything went bad.
Example for correlation;
1964 was the last year for Silver Dimes and Quarters. 1965 Dimes and Quarters were made of Nickel Plated Copper. (no silver, not money, just counterfeit tokens).
1964 was the last year Chrysler Corporation put two pressure pumps in it’s 727 Automatic Transmission (it could be push started). These Transmissions were not only found on Chrysler products but were sold to Roles Royce (an expensive British Car that would only buy the best).
The 1965 Chrysler 727 Automatic Transmission no longer included the rear pump (no more push starting). Got a dead battery, or a bad Starter, call a tow truck.
Having been a mechanic for over 20 years and grown up in the Detroit area, I can list dozens of examples of how things were build to last and be repairable prior to 1965. In fact, if a Part didn’t say “Made in the USA” I was told to take it back.
When the money went bad, everything went bad. America become a throw away society that created products (including cars) designed to fail. Cost Reduction Engineering included finding a way to make a Part cheaper if it lasted more than 100,000 miles. In other words, cars were designed to fail at 100,000 miles.
It’s not hard to see why American Car Companies lost market share to foreign car companies that continued to build their products to last, eh!

Long-time listener, first-time caller.
I don’t usually post comments on websites/blogs/social networks, only on one other thus far. As much as I’m an avid follower of the Corbett Report and promote the content and the man whenever/wherever possible/reasonable, I never feel that I have much to add after James’ learned presentations.
Nevertheless, here I go. I live in Belgrade, Serbia. Chinese surveillance systems/technology is springing up all over the city. Thousands of cameras are being mounted in public spaces, even on the city’s periphery and in obscure areas (low traffic, low population density, etc). A veritable panopticon is being set up. We don’t know how many, where exactly, what happens to the video/audio footage, who can access the data and what their official purpose is. The Ministry of Internal Affairs refuses to answer any questions and plays the public safety card. This particular governmental escapade took a bizarre turn with the official announcement last summer that Chinese police would walk the beat in SERBIA, albeit accompanied by local police and wearing civilian clothes, in the name of assisting Chinese tourists whose numbers are swelling. So far, what we know is that the Serbian government didn’t just purchase Chinese tech. Instead, Chinese companies are installing them, operating them and instructing local law enforcement. We’re completely in the dark. The government is headed by a marionette, members of parliament and local politicians are unashamedly corrupt, and even the people who fell for the original 2012 political promises are (excruciatingly) slowly, but surely wisening up. Do they expect trouble, protests, popular uprisings? Who knows, it’s not beyond the realm of our current lot. From what I can gather, there is no single reason for them, it’s the world trend in surveillance technology finally catching up with us. Everyone in the Balkans feels like we’re so behind the ‘times’ that when an atrocity such as this occurs, we all chime in unison ‘Well, surveillance systems are all over the EU’, ‘It is the 21st Century after all’.
Here’s my point. In Serbia, it’s a new phenomenon. Many people still hold on to the adage ‘There’s nothing to worry about if you have nothing to hide’ (as if laws can’t change overnight, and they have done repeatedly over our lifetime). Most, however, are wary and cautious but apathetic. The vast majority doesn’t trust THIS government BUT think that surveillance is an excellent tool if used by the ‘right’ people. Therein lies the rub. What the Corbett Report promotes is beyond most peoples capacity to even consider, let alone recognise, and least of all, attempt. As long as people believe that somewhere, over there, in the EU, USA, Germany, Japan, Shangri-la, authorities work to benefit the population, people will accept all manner of authoritarian practices in the name of THE LAW and a better tomorrow. During a very short period of 46 years, from a historical perspective, authoritarian Yugoslav Communist party rule has undone MILLENNIA long cultural tradition of self-organisation, local cooperatives and individual responsibility.

For the Human Genetics study, samples were processed by a higher-end sequencer made by an American firm, Illumina, according to the authors. It is not clear who owned the sequencer. Illumina did not respond to requests for comment.[….]”
It’s truly fascinating that the tech is as developed as it currently is. Even if it can’t provide detailed faces from DNA samples, the very fact that it exists can and will be used to bring people in and in some cases, throw away the key. Especially with such novel technology, mistakes be made, experts can run amock, without anyone able to challange and question the ‘scientific facts/evidence’. By then, any government can remove anyone from the scene, as required.
This is how I imagine hell on earth will look like.

In Ireland we have had community cc tv since 2006 but I had never heard of it in any towns or cities until 2014 and since then it is everywhere…. I’m not sure about the facial recognition, I don’t think there is much of it if at all. But it is not helpful if the law enforcers know you at all, which is likely in small town Ireland. My partner once found 50 quid on the square in town and got a phone call a few hours later to call to the station. He was charged with theft as he did not hand the money into the garda station in the first place. It was ridiculous and totally unjust but there you go. The garda corruption in Ireland is ripe.
