Sounds like watching the news to me. Plenty of rifles, blood, gore, bombs, and I was always taught any kid in America could aspire to be the PRESIDENT.
I guess that is crazy and they do need to be reported and detained.
I was thinking it sounded like every CIA funded film and Netflix “original” release… If the US intelligence departments really cared about violence and savagery maybe they should stop paying for all of these horrible movies.

And just one more comment, after first mentioning that I am sure I am not alone in feeling some loss at not seeing you two Jameses for, like, uh, over 5 weeks or more? Yikes-a-rikes-a Nobody does it like you guys!
My comment is about an offhand remark of Corbett’s about taxes. Specifically not paying them as a way to try to stop the poison death and war machine.
As things progress, here in the USA anyway, we will likely find more and more people willing to do that as they have less and less to lose. (Because they have less. Period.) I suspect that it would not take a very large segment of the population to overwhelm enforcement capabilities.
May I suggest that is an excellent topic for an episode?

I wonder why the campus officer at the Florida school did nothing for about 4 minutes while the shooting took place. Was there any communication between him and his superiors during that time?

At best Sheriff Israel (now there’s a name) is a brainwashed simpleton who has been issued a badge (which police are quick to remind us is actually called a “shield” – hmmm) and a firearm by his municipality.
But besides that we can be fairly sure that he is probably a liar since he is in a position that he would necessarily be exposed to all the corruption that permeates enforcement agencies as a generality and has apparently chosen not to say anything.
Even if his department is clean as a whistle, if he is unaware that in general enforcement agencies are permeated with organized criminal influence, then his opinion on pretty much all public matters is useless – again, at best, since that presumes no malice.
I recently spoke with a very young, pleasant, earnest, black, female uniformed police officer sent over to chat me up (meaning, perhaps unbeknownst to her, to try to intimidate me or incite a hostile reaction from me) at a public square where I was handing out my political literature.
At some point during our all-around civil and pleasant conversation the subject of Serpico came up (gee, I wonder who brought that up?) and she surprised me with the news that one whole day of her academy training, which she had just completed, was devoted to the movie and the man! He actually spoke at the viewing and fielded questions!
Now one could write millions of pages of speculation about that – totally fascinating.
I saw the movie again about two years ago, and it seems to still ring 100% accurate.
At least now Serpico has a job again and isn’t just in hiding (in Switzerland – ha,ha), but to what end really?
What’s the lesson any rookie ought to learn here. “Get out quick!†That’s the only reasonable conclusion, unless you’re willing to compromise your integrity and to lie for the system.
Lying for the system is what Serpico for some reason found he couldn’t stomach, along with being super lucky since being set-up by his “brothers†during a drug den raid to be shot in the face didn’t kill him!
I’m sure that was unexpected! Chance! It can exhibit some amazing grace.
So now, back to the question – to what purpose? There’s no way of answering that question. There is no answer. I actually have a little faith that Serpico has probably not turned; just that he is applying himself to a lost cause.
The corruption of the NYPD is one of its major systemic functions.
If one refuses to just give up all forms of resistance that is a difficult reality to handle constructively while not feeling some sort of paralysis.
I don’t believe he thinks he’s essentially telling rookies to quit, but is there any hope they can expect anything different from what he experienced?
There’s no way out of this hole. If you’re a cop, you lie about internal corruption or you’re crushed.

Maybe not fake. Looking up a name database it ranked about 3000th in the USA. Not that popular, but still common enough.
Also a name like that would be good for receiving favors and promotions, especially if you talked the talk as well.
Mind you, names may not always be indicative. Your surname could be “Jones” and you could still be an Israeli lapdog. Even if the lap you were sitting on would need to be pretty sturdy!
YES, strongly agree. Israel and those like him are a serious threat to freedom. He provides a clear example of what is and has been happening within the local US police departments, nationwide. The hired ranks seem to have no common sense whatsoever. They are aggressive (both sexes), state outright that they are fearful of the public and they seek to run their local areas with the control of Nazi kings. Frankly, it’s frightening when you see it in action. It’s quite apparent in New Mexico where the police have been investigated by the Feds several times for rights violations, including outright murder. The population of NM has a culturally violent history which continues today (check US national stats) and the police are no different.
So the Sheriff wants to exercise ultimate control over his domain and that of a nation? “If you see something.” SOMETHING? “Horrific language.” Who decides it’s horrific? YOU and those like you Sheriff? Those who would deny what the US peddles to the world? Go to the freaking movies, read the paper, listen to the news ass-hat!
Guns, blood, bombs, growing up to be serial killer are all subjects within the primary diet of the American (and Western) experience. The media not only promotes violence at every turn but exports it portraying such as completely acceptable behavior. Why? It’s economics. It’s profitable. This Sheriff is a classic case of denial, blindness and a basic refusal to see the world around him with any clarity whatsoever.
Diagnosis? Incarceration and observation for being a sleep-walking zombie.
Well there is certainly one thing you can do to fight back against the military-industrial complex: Don’t join the military, and do your best to keep your friends, family & acquaintances from joining the military.
Also, speak up whenever you see military worship online.
Remind people that military enlistees & veterans are by no means heroes.
One thing to note. FL Baker Act or any one deemed by family or friendsto be at risk to themselves or other has been available in most states for a very long time (close to 100 years).
I doubt that a person would be liable from Social Media posts by itself.
I am one that worries about government overreach in mental health. I worked as a Mental Health Worker in Michigan for years back in the 1980s and 90s.

I doubt that a person would be liable from Social Media posts by itself.
