Today James talks to Nomi Prins, author of books like All The Presidents Bankers, about her recent article “The Central Bank Power Shift from West to East, Game of Thrones Style.” We talk about the changing economic and monetary landscape and how the locus of central bank power is shifting to the East, with players like the People’s Bank of China gaining in prominence and former US/EU lapdogs like the IMF becoming brokers for these new power players in the new world financial order.

I’ll just point out here that the audio mp3 version of the interview contains a few extra minutes of conversation at the beginning that are not in the video version. So do listen to the audio version if you’re interested in the full conversation.
I started listening to this a while back and it seemed like she was advocating the idea that the bankers were just dumb and doing stupid things because they didn’t know any better. I had to stop listening after that. Was that the jist of the interview?
This comment is not directly related to the video….but it is. 🙂 I found a very active and outspoken group of Orthodox Jews that gives me some hope. They are anti-Zionist, anti-Israel and pro-Palestine. I just want to let you all know.

Thanks for the audio! It helps weave the whole interview.
I appreciate James on going into Tokyo for the interview. Prins is a powerhouse of banking knowledge.
And James looks sharp in his suit. Was that a V on the tie clip?(grin)

I first saw Nomi Prins on an episode of Jesse Ventura’s Conspiracy Theory. I like her, she doesn’t seen like an actor for the other team. Maybe I’m wrong, but that’s the impression I get.
So, total ot but this made me laugh.
Is Fukushima still safe after the latest earthquake?

Profoundly traumatized when I fully realized the existence some time back of professional gatekeeping I’ve developed this paranoid tendency of imagining the possible witting or unwitting gatekeeper status of absolutely every interesting new pundit I come across – I try to imagine what aspect of the wonderful things they say could be the poisoned message.
Applying this almost involuntary process to this highly cordial, if not complicit, interview I’d say her preference pour la “gram of gold” credit cards over the blockchain technology (which might seem to contradict what I was saying in other recent posts) would be the potential area for gatekeeping for Nomi Prins.
I’m not saying she’s definately guilty of this, I’m just giving my flash impression of this interview that I listened to only once (and not even the complete version).
(Also because I don’t have the time just now to look at the finer geopolitical-financial insights being presented that I don’t grasp at present.)
just my quick two cents…
I’d like to know more about Brexit and what its role was/is suppose to be in regards to the shift away from the FED towards the SDR.
I just want to say that I was so impressed with all the interviews with Nomi Prins that I actually bought the book, “All The Presidents Bankers”.
Your videos are a good part of the reason why I did. I am enjoying it! It is packed! So thanks for the several interviews with her! Good writer!
Thanks again James!
