Exposed: North Korean “Armada” Story Was MSM Fake News Promoted By Trump
Given how tense things have been on the Korean peninsula lately, it would be hard to imagine how the perilous North Korean/American military standoff could get any more dangerous. And then a headline like this comes along: “U.S. Reroutes Warships Toward Korean Peninsula in Show of Force.”
Just to get everyone up to speed, here’s the story so far (in Star Wars opening scroll form, no less!):
The Korean peninsula is in crisis! The evil General Jong-un, angered by the Empire’s Foal Eagle, has threatened a “super mighty pre-emptive strike” against the forces of Emperor Trump. Grieving for his fallen grandfather, Jong-un displays his most fearsome papier-mâché weapons. Emperor Trump consorts with Grand Leader Xi of Planet ChiCpom, plying him with enchanted Mar-a-Lago cake and enticing him to join the Empire with a truce in the currency war. Then, word comes that the Emperor’s armada is bearing down on Korea…
That’s right, after a decade of disquiet over North Korea’s nuclear program (thanks, Donald Rumsfeld!), years of fears over rising defense budgets and military exercises and armament upgrades, months of melodrama over North Korea’s missile launches, and weeks of worry over North Korea’s annual military parade and South Korea’s political turmoil, the US decides to ratchet the mayhem up to eleven by sending a freaking armada into Korean waters!…
…Or at least that’s what we were told. By The New York Times, no less. And they’re the infallible, unimpeachable, venerable paper of record, so it must be true! As always, they were first out of the gates with their crack reporting on the fearsome armada: “The commander of American forces in the Pacific has ordered an aircraft carrier and several other warships toward the Korean Peninsula in a show of force by the Trump administration just days after North Korea tested another intermediate-range missile.”
There’s only one problem with that story: It was totally false. Completely wrong. Fake news.

Oh, hey guys. Looks like they’ve turned the fleet around and they’re going to be in the Sea of Japan any day now. Honest. They really really mean it this time. Pinky swear.
https://japantoday.com/category/politics/us-naval-armada-to-be-in-sea-of-japan-in-days
Hola aloha señor James,
The American Navel Armada is now at the Sea of Japan, because some Canadian Anarchist lives now at he sunny climbs in Japan and his thoughts are more dangerous than the behavior of the Korean-Tubby Kim Jong-un… 🙂 🙂
There were only 3 reader comments to that article when I read it, but the tone of derisiveness against North Korea was just plainly arrogant. Dangerously, the USA#1 crowd is believing the hype of supposed North Korean aeronautical engineering incompetence.
“Do you think those NK missiles will make it beyond 100 feet or so before they blow up on their own (hope the nukes are not armed or NK has the telemetry tech to disarm or terminate)? Add to that, US has moved missile defense systems to SK to take them out before nuke blows up.”
The US missile defence system being referred to is the Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD), from prime contractor Lockheed Martin. THAAD is designed to shoot down short range (SRBM), medium range (MRBM) and intermediate range (IRBM) ballistic missiles.
By military convention, SRBMs have a range of up to 1000km, MRBMs have a range of 1000-3000km, and IRBMs from 3000-5500kms.
THAAD installations, however, would have to be set up to anticipate both prospective North Korea-based missile launches, as well as submarine-based launches (which present a different ballistics profile). A simultaneous “swarm” attack would probably overwhelm THAAD capabilities for providing a 100% shoot-down. And an airburst from a singular nuclear-tipped ballistic missile would destroy the Carl Vinson carrier group.
The gamesmanship, and the blind arrogance to consequences, should make us all worried.
Awesome. lol

Corbett always has some great gems with his article’s embedded links.
I like this quote: The Wall Street Journal is edited for those who run the world; the WaPo is edited for those who think they run the world; the Old Gray Lady is edited for those who think they should run the world.
Corbett’s Recommended Reading and Viewing has some wonderful stuff. I am weak from laughing reading the “Just for Fun”.
The Tonga Chinese article: I have noticed shadows of this type of activity in the north Dallas area where I sometimes interact with the Chinese paper or community. Since I am an ethnic outsider, the details are like whiffs of smoke. But occasionally a story will break such as some old Chinese lady who gets busted with $400,000 cash in her house.
Trump 4D Chess Strategy Explained.
Class 101
Trump speaks and (ph)ucks up (that I can tell you), then his administration (including the MSM and alternative media) scrabble to find ways to explain his latest (ph)uck up away but can’t, therefore they chalk it up to “he doesn’t like to telegraph his next moves you see”, however they forget to mention to us common folk while he doesn’t like to telegraph his next moves, he doesn’t hesitate to TELEGRAPH to us that he doesn’t like to TELEGRAPH! Get it?!
…and that is Trump’s 4D Chess Strategy Explained.
Welcome to era of Fake News, where the “Commander in Chief” (ph)ucks up *again* and somehow he’s a (ph)ucking genius.
I guess Scott Pelley of 60 Minutes never got the memo about truth being hard. He was very adamant that it’s easy to find the truth during his interview of Mike Cernovich. He does it all the time!
Scott Pelley: You say you don’t publish anything that you believe to be true. How do you decide whether something is true?
Mike Cernovich: How does anybody decide? That’s an epistemological question. What is the nature of truth? How do human beings who are floating around this rock with eyes and ears and skin and smell, how does anybody ascertain what is true or what is false?
Scott Pelley: Well, you ask questions, you verify the information it’s not that hard.
Mike Cernovich: You reach your own truth, find the truth. It’s not that hard?
Scott Pelley: I do it all the time.

Trump the Idiot Savant?
People are very strange!!
if you had a calculator that gave you 2 wrong answers out of 5 calculations.. you would never use it again, as you don’t know which is correct answer and which is false…
Yet, people know that MSM in general gives them more than 50% BS news, and they continue to listen…
This is puzzling, and certainly part of the “psychology studies” the powers to be actively fund and harness.
for me, it made my life very limited, as I no longer trust any of the MSM, which leaves very narrow area for learning.
The positive is… I have a lot more time to for my hobbies.
“Yet, people know that MSM in general gives them more than 50% BS news, and they continue to listen…” — I would disagree with that statement.
Humans in general are tribal in nature, and this applies to their politics as well. For example, in America, right wingers generally flock to Fox News mostly and to a certain extent will also flock to ABC for their News info. Meanwhile left wingers, will generally flock to CNN and/or NBC. These network don’t necessarily “lie” to their viewers, instead they twist the truth a little by presenting the info in a skewed manner, same way as lawyers do in court. Another way they “lie” is that they simply avoid talking about certain issues (they lie by omission), therefore if people aren’t aware of certain issues, they simply don’t know unless they research it on their own (ie building 7, pentagon plane?). (Thank You Internet)
MSM is very good at what they do. They are subtle and can manipulate the truth in order to present it in a certain desirable point of view depending on their viewer demographic.
You will also notice that sometimes when something is said by a guest that doesn’t go along with the narrative, the presenters will quickly get an ear full in their ear piece and will quickly interrupt the guest or the network will simply cut to commercial, unfortunately most viewers are clueless about these subtle manipulations and believe “their” News channel is unpartial and totally free from government propaganda.
Oh, one more thing…this applies to alternative news sites as well, dare I say, even here at the Corbett Report.
People change the TV dial the same way they can become CorbettReport members.
Hello PeaceFroggs,
When you say you disagree, do you mean that people who you mention above believe that “their” MSM flavour does not “lie”? (lie = omission, twisting, lying, skewing, etc etc).
I think if you do a poll, you will find that the majority of “people” who you mention above are aware of the “lie”, but it is their own “tribe”, which makes it their “own” lie.
I guess, it is like accepting your “own” son/daughter even if they are serial killers
Hey VoiceOfArabi,
I was disagreeing with the % mostly when you said “Yet, people know that MSM in general gives them more than 50% BS news”
For example, you said “if you had a calculator that gave you 2 wrong answers out of 5 calculations.. you would never use it again, as you don’t know which is correct answer and which is false.”
Using that scenario, the MSM (calculator) reports the answer (News), unlike your scenario they almost always report the correct answer, however what is deceiving is not the answer, the problem is how they explain to us (viewers) how they came to that answer, and that’s when they have their pundits come in an explain how the answer depending on which “flavor” they prefer.
So you see I don’t believe the MSM lies all that much to be honest with you, unlike that calculator they give us the right answer. If you break it down, there is local news, national news and international news. The MSM then “report” these news stories based on facts, however its in the way thee present the facts (much like a lawyer does in court) and how the pundits review the facts (jury) is how they deceive the viewing audience.
Rarely they will get caught in an outright lie, and those lies usually come in the form of “omissions” which in the past was hard to prove because people didn’t know what to look for, but thanks to the Internet these omissions or contradictions can now be found rather easily, which is what led to the MSM being discredited these last few years and as a result is what has led to the rise of alternative news websites like Alex Jones, which then led to “fake” news, which was then used to get Trump elected.

I just finished reading, “The China Mirage” by James Bradley. I read it inspired by this article from Global Research on Korea:
http://www.globalresearch.ca/how-the-us-empire-was-made-in-north-korea/5589170
An awful lot of previously confusing history chunks just fell right in place. Sort of like dominoes maybe? Significance of the Russo-Japanese War of 1905. Japanese invasion of Korea and so-called Manchuria. Opium Wars making unparalleled fortunes for Crime Families such as Forbes, Astor, Delano etc. The “Great Game” repeat themes still in full play today: “containment” of communist or otherwise “rogue states,” bombing hapless heathen masses into a state of righteous democracy, stupefying levels of propaganda in the lands of the super race.
Check out the link at least for a VERY informative read.
To our imperious UberGoobers, Korea remains a golden gift that just keep on giving.
