Episode 275 – Solutions: Boycotts and Buycotts

07/13/20136 Comments

The battle against the New World Order is designed to demoralize us. No matter how we vote, no matter what politician we vote for, no matter what legislation gets passed, no matter what rallies people attend, nothing seems to fundamentally change. If anything, things only seem to be getting worse and worse. So how can we effectively fight back against the powers that shouldn’t be. The answer, it turns out, might be remarkably simple: stop feeding the beast. Join us this week on The Corbett Report as we explore the power of the boycott.

Somebody out there is bound to be smart enough to provide users a way to eliminate the hidden government “back door” in Windows. We should keep looking.

This will not be the complete answer, but hopefully a start:

    • metal.lamb says:

Windows doesn’t allow access to the “source” code, the readable version of the coding language programmers use to create software, drivers, backdoors, etc. Instead there is a BIOS and the zeros and ones which underlie the source code.

The short answer would be, yes, some computer genious could rewrite the proprietary software which would make Windows “secure”.

However, why would we ever want such a genious mind wasted on such an task, when there are already free, open source, more secure, user friendly, built with specific user needs and desires in mind rather than a one size fits all proprietary system, with a huge network of engaged user community, already exists around GNU licensing and Linux kernel operating systems?

Also, creating an edited version of Windows and redistributing it violates their copyright ;P another principle behind GNU which makes to more ethical and sensible to just go with Linux systems.

    • Octium says:

A lot of the backdoors are tied in with critical features so if you removed them all most applications would not run on it any longer…that’s why you are better off with an operating system like Linux.

  2. mkey says:

There is a windows binary compatible OS out there, the React OS.

I’m sure if it gains a foothold they’ll shut it down faster than Putin shut down US “intervention” in Syria.

  3. fer67 says:

Okay James, what kind of computer do you have? How do we communicate online if we don’t have a fortune 500 computer? Do you use Linux? Do you have a show that discusses real options? For those of us who were able to program our VCRs?

    Thanks, Spinky
