James, Wonderful research, thank you for such hard work.
I recently stumbled across the allegations of Alexander Litvinenko the russian spy who defected (and was later assassinated in 2006)and blew the whistle on numerous conspiracies within the Russian military command. In particular he mentions Al-zawahiri as an FSB-trained agent which seems contrary to the tag and release M.O. of this podcast and Sibel Edmond’s statements around his arrest in 1996. Konstantin Preobrazhensky, former KGB intel officer supported this claim by Litvinenko. Any thoughts on this and clarification if you have any?

Thanks for the comment. I am wary of Litvinenko’s info (although not entirely dismissive of it) because of his close involvement with Boris Berezovsky, as well as the fact that he was working for UK intelligence:

Having said that, if you have more details on his claim I’d be interested to see them.
