When I saw this Activist Post story in the “Recommended Reading” section yesterday I actually didn’t take time to read it, but I read the title out loud to my family.
It’s of course the younger generation who has no clear notion of privacy.
I simply explained to my son that privacy was one of those things that is only missed when one day your testicles show up on the net. Then privacy suddenly seems important.
I believe I witnessed a momentary glimmer of understanding in his eyes… even if he shrugged it off…

That said, Alex is the lesser threat… It is your mobile phone that is the real threat. It is recording you all the time and it is in your pocket all the time… mine tells me how many times i snore at night and even tries to stop me snoring (application called Sleep as Android.)
But I am a strong believer it is not the technology that is a threat, as technology happened for the last 10 thousands of years… it is who controls that technology that is the issue.
Chinese had gun powder for 100’s of years and it was not a real problem..

Actually I’d go a step further than just not having one in my house.

The box in my living room is pretty harmless. It’s an analog model and about the only thing it picks up these days is the Big Bang (As in the Universe, not the US Shitcom)
If I was planning on watching TV, I have worked out it would be cheaper to buy a projector – that way I could just plaster over the hole each time I feel the need to throw a brick at the lying bastards.

This is a good point. This reminds me of Edward Bernays and modern propaganda and advertising. They have made these devices “cool” and “hip” to have. I have a TV so I have noticed how in the last few years there has been a bombardment of ads for Amazon Alexa, Google Home, and all the other variations that are now available. There has been a watershed moment, and these devices have officially become mainstream and now seem to be in a lot of families’ homes, just live TV’s are.
Along the same thought of ‘buying in’ to our own enslavement are the DNA kits that everyone is thirsting over. Particularly within the last couple years I have noticed a perpetual bombardment of advertising for 23andMe, Ancestry.com, and the other DNA snatching kits. They have been made trendy just like the Amazon Alexa and everyone needs one to be up-to-date on the latest trend.

The “Alexa”, “Twitter”, and “Facebook” monitors gage our reactions to TV propaganda, and then adjust TV content accordingly.
Giving up Alexa with out tossing your TV doesn’t accomplish a damn thing.
Why do we look at just one component at a time here? …and NEVER at how it all fits together. TV advanced the control agenda by quantum leaps.

This article shows at least 2 instances where David Hogg committed fraud. In one instance he admitted was at home and had to ride down to the school on his bicycle to get video of the event.
In the second it’s shown that he recorded the video at 9:32am when the shooting happened at about 2pm. I don’t know how legit this site is, but the article points out some interesting and provable fraud that Hogg has committed.

In these two you can see that there were more shots fired even after Cruz started blending in with other students to leave the building. This would have been the point at which, had he been the shooter, he would have already ditched the gun, so he couldn’t have fired anymore shots at this point. This basically proves that he was not the shooter since we all know there was only 1 shooter. No one can challenge that there was only 1 shooter since that’s the official narrative.

I’ve carefully perused Manley P. Hall, Albert Pike, Helena Blavatsky and many others. The writings are much more open and outright the further we go back.

Did Auldous know what was coming? He most certainly did. Was he indulging in “predictive programming”? In Huxley’s case I would say no. He usually presented his knowledge in the form of a warning, or sometimes in a very indifferent, “matter of fact” kind of way.
He certainly took a bites at the academic hands that fed him, including, most remarkably in the final chapters of “Doors of Perception”. Was he doing so in order to promote psychedelics?…again, I cant say. Some of these authors (like Quiggly) were more or less historians.

I don’t have one and don’t personally know anyone dumb enough to have one, but apparently such people do exist.
We don’t even allow smartphones in our house unless they’re placed in our Faraday tin or the battery is removed (aside from my phone which has a switch for disabling its transmission capability so I can still use offline apps).
Convenience? I think the ones falling for this crap are just getting more lazy and the sellers of this technology know us well. Nothing smart in my house including me.

You misunderstand, this was not a comment questioning personal “faith”. It was just an amusing observation on selling the idea of convenience and extrapolating it.
Situations and times like these provide tremendous opportunities for individuals to understand themselves and the world around them far better and deep (i.e. True nature of reality). Some will take these opportunities, others will not. So be it.
Those that do will be able to adapt (Not Conform) to what ever comes. Those that don’t will struggle.

I haven’t invested too much time into this issue, but that explanation from Amazon, as pathetic as it sounds, could be true. It all depends on the speech recognition algorithms used and possible bugs in software. I don’t see much point in sending voice recordings to random people, but it does show how utterly useless this technology can be.
Of course, everything else about home spying holds water, it’s as watertight as a submarine. I’m sure this will spread like a wildfire, soon enough these devices will be probably merged with the TV as the centerpiece of any respectable home.
How do we best describe a world where (for most), life without TV is unthinkable?

For everybody even considering buying an Alexa, virtually all of them have their Smart Phone lying around in conveniently handy locations at home or wherever they happen to be (“don’t leave home without it†indeed).
Again, what’s the difference?

So I’m trying to watch a YouTube video as I do from time to time (as there is no competitor that I’m aware of yet that has amassed the sheer volume of videos they have) when one of their annoying ads pops up before they allow me to view the video.
I remember the days long ago when I was forced to watch ads on TV.
That was before I pulled the plug on TV-watching.
So now they are adding this annoying phenomenon to the internet. ðŸ™
Anyway, what is the ad this time?
Pops is sitting on the couch with his two teenage children watching TV and mom is peering at them from behind.
Trying to watch TV that is. You see his children have different tastes than he has. So as they debate what they should all watch together on TV the children lose patience and start to play with their smart devices (phone, tablet).
Pops decides to take charge and place an order with Alexa.
He issues several commands to her in his own smug way.
Mom chimes in shortly after with her series of Alexa commands…

My granddaughter, who now is in her Senior year at college, goes on all kinds of excursions and off-campus party type fun.
While she does fine with academics, her focus is her boyfriend and friends and sports and whims. But I can’t be too critical…at her age I was worse.
