Coding the Perfect Matrix
In the beginning was The Program. The Programmer made His creation perfect, and when He looked on it He saw that it was so, and that was good. But then it fell apart.
You see, Matrix v0.1 was just something thrown together on the weekend for a laugh. Real glitch-y, beta release stuff. Like if you tried to program Sim City in Basic and run it on a Commodore 64. Still, it worked. Kind of.
But that was the problem, you see? It worked. Everything just worked. When the Matrix-dwellers wanted food, they got it. It was never too hot or too cold. No disease. Everyone died precisely at 80 years old, having lived identically happy, challengeless, boring lives. Or they would have, if anyone had stayed in long enough to find out how the story was supposed to go. In the end, everyone pulled themselves out of the Matrix.
Pulled themselves out.
Yes, that was the problem with Matrix v0.1. It was too perfect.
Back to the drawing board. Time to roll up sleeves, take things seriously. Add some difficulties, challenges, struggle, achievement. Complexity.

Perhaps James will consider a second installment having to do with the REAL programmers, their bevvy of extremely well funded, international think-tanks, and how those sessions function. These groups are busy 24-7 perfecting the art of maintaining the power which they’re so petrified of losing one day. The brightest minds (most unwittingly) are always folded into “the agenda”.

So, did the Matrix create the desire for hierarchy or was it simply adaptive AI?
A matrix cannot (by it’s very nature) develop around free/fluid individuals.

Via lights and such, I never though I ‘d express this like this, because there are so many that can’t believe.
It was just this year that I was vindicated (VIN no pun intended, first time for me too) by the announcement that there was an AI
I worked for Pizza Hut, all over SEA-TAC, and at first I thought I was the premium driver, because I am.
I am a better driver than you and you and you.
But then i realized that the lights changed FOR ME. and I had a good relationship with the AI.
Go eat a cheetohs stuffed crust pizza if you think I’m making this up.

ANYWAY
there was (was?) an AI in Seattle and we got along.
Can a Traffic AI help me mow lawns? nope.
Can a Traffic AI get me a job? nope.
Can a Traffic AI recognize me in a passenger seat and adjust traffic lights by seconds in North Carolina in 2018? yup.
I invite the unbelievers to trot on down here and watch before their feet and steering wheel the world open to them.

As I see it, the only scenario that fully satisfies the one James has set forth is the miserable life of the Russian Lakov family who fled to escape the Bolsheviks into the depths of a Siberian forest, discovered in 1978 by a team of geologists. Otherwise, as long as there exists a tract of land to buy for my utopia, taxes will be owed. That’s just for starters. Can’t be helped!

Try convincing the unthinking/programmed that one can improve brain function and memory – now there is a task!
From the little i know seems both Logic and Reasoning have been dropped from school curricula.
Probably too busy arguing ‘trump is good/bad’ or some such demonstration of towering intellect.

This will be an interesting issue to watch unfold because now the European companies have essentially been given an ultimatum. Either follow the new EU “blocking statute” and lose out on the entire US market and any other market that uses US banks to conduct business, or comply with the US sanctions and be punished by the EU. Tricky.

Dtube was a bit slow for me too, it struggled initially but after a few minutes it was OK.

That is a scary video you referenced. I watched the Computing Forever clip where that Scottish fellow just rakes Google over the coals on it. Of course, this is why we have Scotland anyway. They are naturals for raking people over coals and such things. Especially their neighbors down south a bit. Eating limes and other such nonsense.
The idea of those borgs directing our agendas isn’t creepy at all. No sense resisting. You will be assimilated. JimBob who never was good at blending in, much less assimilating, what with him looking like an ax murderer according to the way cops look at him anyway.
The 8-minute ‘Google Selfish Ledger’ video is located in the “Recommended Viewing” section above if you’re interested and yes, it’s creepy. If it’s genuine, it’s a most eloquent confession of both the death of privacy and their priority of Social Engineering through actually rewiring human behavior.
I was particularly struck by their use of the word “Palatable”.

The “matrix dwellers” featured in James’ piece are more likened to domestic animals in a pen.
The “matrix” womb is the only thing they’ve ever known. Of course the “matrix” is nothing more than wanting to be ruled over, through generations of conditioning
Most folk do not want to be unplugged/unchained. Just a glimpse of what’s beyond “the matrix” (a truly wild and free human) scares the daylights out of them.

…and so we pondered on it for now. But that entire meta-belief structure, making up a seemingly perfect excuse to get back to sleep, that is just entrenched into our global human mass subconciousness really makes me feel a lot of anger.
And that is good, since that kind of anger sooner of later gets good articles writted. Even if it’s not me who fulfils the philosophical function of the Author (hello, hi and thank you to Michel Foucault in the bardo/outskirts of the Matrix).
Now that was nice. By the way, I can’t help but notice that the matrix article sums up with fancy words and plots and other such stuff that I don’t do because of a lack of motivation my earlier statement that the whole she-bang is a lie. Obviously, that places this article to the number one spot as in my fantasy world, I was the inspiration. Please, do not bother me with your silly facts; I’m waiting in line for the next matrix.
