CNN Goes COMPLETELY INSANE, Threatens to Dox Reddit User Over Meme

07/05/201747 Comments

There are no words for how insane the dinosaur lapdog establishment mouthpiece mockingbird media is getting. Case in point: remember that “infamous” meme of Trump wrestling CNN to the ground that the teleprompter-in-chief tweeted last weekend? Well after days of wall-to-wall pearl clutching coverage from the MSM, they’ve finally tracked down the vile reddit user who created it! And they’re threatening to dox him. As you can imagine, this is not going so well for the least trusted name in news…

It’s been said that no press is bad press…so in the end is CNN gonna be hurt by this attention?

  2. Greg Bacon says:

If CNN is worried that the hilarious video will make some idiot go after journos, then they can rest easy, since CNN has NO journalists, only stenographers, LIARS and propagandists.

CNN, pick on someone your own size, like say, Trump!

  3. NES says:

I was rolling while listening to this video. Couldn’t stop laughing. Nice job, James. CNN is now, apparently, “officially” a felon institution. All you meme-ers out there, keep it up. AND, GOOD WORK!

  4. brans says:

    Whack-a-meme

  5. mkey says:

Am I missing something? Even if they publish his name, what’s the worst that can happen? Can one really get too many pats on the back?

  6. jarmstrong says:

CNN are very unlikely to face legal consequences from their actions but have successfully intimidated an opponent and, more importantly, preemptively intimidated future prospective opponents. When credibility is not an issue (and from CNN’s actions it is clear that this is the case) then suppression of dissent through fear is an effective tactic. I see this episode as a clear win for CNN as the individuals who may well have broken the law by blackmailing/doxing etc. will never be held accountable but those that dare oppose them would be right to feel cowed into submission by threats of very real consequences to their lives.

  7. doublek321 says:

In all seriousness, wouldn’t this type of thing qualify under the topic of “Solutions: Laughing at Tyrants”? This seems like another legitimate opportunity to change the public’s perception of the MSM.

  8. taylrmd says:

isn’t this more of the government/media complex playing good cop/bad cop on you? remember, Linda McMahon is on Trumps team, and they (both “sides) know how to manipulate perception for whatever goal they have and it seems to be working….

  9. pearl says:

My sense of humor plummeted at the news of this outrageous intimidation by CNN; bullies make my blood boil. Going by Assange’s underlined tweet, it appears this guy has a promising case against CNN. If only someone could reach him and encourage him to retract his coerced apology, get him set up with a legal fund via we the incensed people advertised by liberty-minded news groups, hire someone like… I dunno… Whitehead(?), then dare CNN to cross that line. If this isn’t the ripest of opportunities, what is? Hashtag #CNNBlackmail, while entertaining, should merely be *A* public response, not *the*.

    • mkey says:

This is their game, they write the rules, they hold the keys. How do you think one could take on establishment on their terms? I don’t think that’s at all possible and to think otherwise is nothing but a pipe dream.

I’m not saying these people are unprocessale as is, in a people’s court this would be an open and shut case, one session till lunch break and off they would go.

      • pearl says:

Well, the law Assange cited was pretty clear, wasn’t it? I don’t believe anyone from CNN would spend a night in jail, let alone ten years, but yeah, comparable to United Airlines’ financial loss, I think this guy has a winnable case.

Isn’t this what attorneys like John Whitehead are for? What is the purpose of the press if not to provoke action? What? Read/view reports to exercise our adrenaline production? And lest we be convinced that using the legal system is an entirely lost cause here in the US, there was the surprise legal outcome of the Oregon standoff; David vs Goliath bigtime.

Hopefully this will be the end of CNN. Their ratings have taken a nosedive since the Veritas sting operation.

    • HomeRemedySupply says:

It is anyone’s guess what CNN is thinking. They certainly are on their death march.
Perhaps they are just trying to flame the fire, create more controversy and sensationalism in order to attract attention. Much like Trump does.

      Two tenets in Marketing:
      Attract Attention and Generate Interest.

A communication or message can’t be received without the attention & interest of the receiver.

  12. zyxzevn says:

This show could be an attempt of CNN to remove attention
from the videos with them admitting that they produce fake news.
These videos show that CNN is faking the Russian hacking story.
By firing one person, they may be able to save their name a bit.

  13. nosoapradio says:

As usual the elites know how to use momentum to their advantage.

They’ve managed to transform the Fake news vs Real news meme into a partisan pro-Trump and thus anti-credible issue for at least half the population

and just in time to distract from the issues cited in the video: North Korea’s ICBM and Syria (among other things).

As usual, we’re being had Jiu-jitsu style with unveiled threats to those who are paying attention.

I Wonder how they will instrumentalize the barrage of anti-CNN memes… maybe just in misdirected rebellious energy and focus distracting from the real stinger that’s being set up in the wings…?

    anyhow, time to visit Orpheus…

  14. asavetmd says:

James, you have been known for serious work for 10 years but I don’t remember anything that was side-splitting funny like this. This was truly hilarious.

  15. mezzanit says:

I’m seriously irritated that the author of CNN Blackmail article is Andrew Kaczynski. For some time already there is anti-Poland rhetoric out there in the air, as current polish ruling party is resisting some geopolitical trends (accepting Muslim refugees from Africa and Middle-east, or submitting autonomy to the core rules of EU, to mention a few …).

The leader of this ruling party is Jaroslaw Kaczynski (JarosÅ‚aw KaczyÅ„ski when using Polish diacritical signs). He is … let says lightly … not liked by majority of powers that shouldn’t be (too rebellious and too much to your face).

Could it be an attempt to assassinate certain sentiment with that surname?

    Worried 🙁

    • nosoapradio says:

You mean the identical twin brother of former Polish president Lech Kaczynski (who was also apparently “not liked by majority of powers”)

who very suspiciously died with around 95 other members of the Polish government in that inexplicable airplane crash near Smolensk, Russia on April 10th, 2010?

      • mezzanit says:

Indeed, he was his twin brother.

And I just realised that my spell checker replaced “associate” with “assassinate”. Well, I need to improve my proof reading skill 😛

        • mkey says:

That’s a mind reader not a spell checker.

        • nosoapradio says:

Come to think of it…spell checkers could create some serious diplomatic incidents…

ya think Kim Jong-un has a spell checker?

(it turns out – the real cause of dinosaur extinction: that’s right. spell checkers)

          • mezzanit says:

Spell checker is a lame excuse. Not careful, not mindful laptop operator is here to blame, if we insist we need to have one 😀

            • nosoapradio says:

Well, pardon my asking, but if we’re all such bad spellers in need of spell checkers… why do we need them at all? Nobody’ll even notice if stuff’s spelled wrong?! Nah, spell checkers are just infantile pre-AI ego-trips and passive aggressive power games against laptop operators…

I’ll vote for making the spell-checker obsolete. 😉

In fact I’m starting a petition as we er speak!

              • mkey says:

Spell checker allows for the speller to transfer his attention from his words to actual content.

Also, correctly spelled text demands less attention from the reader so they may focus more on content.

              • nosoapradio says:

you mean… they’re not a conspiracy to start WW3 and hasten the coming of the Singularity annhilating humans and heralding the age of the immortal elctronic humanoid?

dunno…”assassinate” instead of “associate”… pretty incriminating in my book…

maybe that’s the message the air traffic controller in Smolensk received?… sender forgot to proof read…?

              • nosoapradio says:

and your “mind-reader” comment, in addition to being very funny

                may actually have been…prophetic?

              • mkey says:

As long as it reads the mind and outputs the truth I don’t have a problem with it.

Truth will set you free. In the beginning there would be many people who’d feel insulted by the truth, but they aren’t resilient anyhow and would die off or adapt (vast minority) quickly. What would be left is a socety bent on telling it how it is.

              • nosoapradio says:

Thank you mkey for making me wonder about the relativity of the word “Truth”.

What might an artificially intelligent machine’s “Truth” look like I wonder?

I’ll go back to…Richard Ran’s? Ex Machina recommendation.

(plus, the dancing in that film is a must-see!)

              • mkey says:

Hmh didn’t want to make you wonder lol

I see I didn’t express myself correctly there. By truth I didn’t mean the universal truth but truth of mind. The correct word woudl have been “sincere.”

Interesting how these two words collate in my mind.

              • nosoapradio says:

So we’re back to the beginning of our thread, a poetic loop, with unintended word associations…

                assassinate/associate

                Truth/Sincerity

Now I’m late yet again! Gotta go indoctrinate people face to face!

Thanks for the exchange! Until next time! Be well!

              • mkey says:

I did not, however, use spellcheck. That was a product of my mind.

All the best in your endevours. Turst government. Government is God.

    #je suis HanAssholeSolo

    I don’t tweet but if I did…

It seems in light of CNNs and all the left support of free speech and satire for Charlie Hebdo in 2015 ” #JeSuisCharlie”,
and in light of CNNs blackmail and threat of personal exposure, an attack on free speech and satire when they are ridiculed by HansAssholeSolo in a gif tweeted by Trump…

That people on the right and left, all around the world, could unify behind free speech and satire under the banner that I am HansAssholeSolo
    #Je Suis HansAssholeSolo

Everyone should tweet sarcastic fake news videos and gifs to CNN under
    #Je Suis HansAssholeSolo

Maybe include CNN’s fake coverage of the first and second Iraq wars?

    They can’t get us all!

Maybe we can get several European Heads of State and the US President and hundreds or thousands of people to march together behind a #Je Suis HansAssholeSolo banner in support of free speech and satire like they did in Paris?

I don’t particularly care for Trump but I do believe that we can all unify – like CNN did for Charley Hebdo – behind supporting satire and free speech against oppressive ideologies and institutions who threaten these values.

Oh what a wonderful world it would be if we were all HansAssholeSolo.

    • mkey says:

The whole #JeSuis thing was 100% orchestrated so to make things equal an organization would be needed for #JeSuisAsshole as well. From what I read, staging such events isn’t particularly expensive nor complicated, however media support is required. Media which wouldn’t be on board in this case.

      • PaulDiggsJazz says:

Of course it was orchestrated bull puckey, and won’t receive media support. That was my point – and a weak attempt at humor.

It occurred to me that if that theme was turned around on them for exactly the same reasons they claimed before – would anyone recognize the hypocrisy?

I thought it would be good for a chuckle. And I must comment that I think your abbreviation to #JeSuisAsshole is much better, mkey.

Sometimes pure humor and satire (Laughing at Tyrants) is more effective than reasoned discourse.

  17. Octium says:

    Anti Semitic?

The only difference between the original video and the new one is a CNN logo.

Are CNN confessing to being not wholly American owned?

    • mkey says:

They refered to his other content which had nothing to do with said meme. He apparently made some comments on race/religion of much of the media.

  18. L. says:

Anybody else consider the fact that CNN either created this meme, or at least created HansAssholeSolo as a straw man and a means of promoting self censorship by threatening internet users with doxing should they do anything the media didn’t approve of? And they don’t care if it is self deprecating, because the only important thing is to implant the idea of self censorship into the minds of as many as possible.

Maybe my tinfoil hat is on too tight, but it is something that leapt to mind. Nothing ever seems to be spontaneous in the media. Everything is pre-planned and orchestrated for maximum impact, and the best way to do that is to create the sensation yourself, ahead of time, and be ready with your PR campaign. I haven’t looked into HansAssholeSolo’s background or posting history, so there could be some demonstration of his authenticity in there that totally debunks my theory.

In an era of the President communicating his knee-jerk thoughts through Twitter and sophisticated & anonymous terrorism social media propaganda campaigns, the idea that intel operatives or media operatives (but I repeat myself) might be able to create an account to impersonate (false flag if you will) others on social media doesn’t seem far fetched to me.

  19. HomeRemedySupply says:

Wrong targets & Correct Targets. CNN is a correct target, a correct enemy.
Desire for an Enemy – Desire for an opposition entity.

Man seems to have an inclination, an impetus, to have an opposition entity.

This makes sense. A game would be dull (and probably not qualify as a game) if the game did not involve a challenge. Man needs an opposing force, a challenge, an opposition, an enemy, something to fight for and against.
Life and living, like a game, probably wouldn’t exist if one had unlimited magical wishes which by their nature vanishes any challenge or opposition.

“The Powers That Shouldn’t Be” recognize this trait of man.
They feed people incorrect enemies all the time.
    Divide and conquer.
Muslims, Jews, government, terrorists, Left, Right, gossip celebrities and neighbors, etc.

    CNN is a correct enemy.
In fact, the MainStreamMedia is the correct enemy.
“The Powers That Shouldn’t Be” would be nullified if all media did their job.
Real Media is foundational to having a better planet.

    • mkey says:

They’d be nulified if we did our job and refused to play the rigged game, too.

Media plays an important role, but its largest strength is its largest weakness as well. We shouldn’t ‘believe’ into someone and that they’ll be doing their due diligence and keep us informed.

    NEWS July 13, 2017
CNN’s mobile app is under siege… One Star…and again One Star
    https://digiday.com/media/cnns-mobile-app-siege-trump-supporters/
    EXCERPT
CNN’s mobile app has a problem, and it’s not getting any help from the platforms that host it.

Over the past week, waves of one-star reviews written by users accusing CNN of disseminating fake news, propaganda and falsehoods have battered the broadcaster’s mobile app. Calls to leave those reviews, which are being encouraged everywhere from message board 4chan to conservative news media Twitter, have reduced the CNN app’s rating in both Apple’s App Store and the Google Play Store to just one star, which could harm its chances of being downloaded in the future…

…On July 5, one user started a thread on 4chan titled “Operation: Mobile Assault,” calling for users to give CNN’s app a one-star review. The instructions in that thread’s opening post were shared across a number of other message boards, including Reddit’s The_Donald, and within the space of nine hours, the app had received over 2,000 one-star reviews, reducing its overall rating to one star.

“Mission accomplished,” the 4chan thread’s author wrote.

Yet the effects of that attack were short-lived. On July 10, CNN released a new update for its app, fixing a few bugs. That new version also reset its rating count inside the App Store.

As soon as the reset was noticed, calls for renewed attacks rang out again, this time even more widely…Since its new version launched on Monday, over 95 percent of the reviews it has received have been one-star….
