I thought Brexit is not possible, but…surprise. Thank you UK. At least you shake a bit over self-confident Eurocrats.
If you are not sure that EU should be dismantled you probably missed a disgusting statement from ttip-bitch Commissioner Cecilia Malmström: “I do not take my mandate from the European people”
    http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/europe/a6695996.html

This is just a beginning and looks like referendum is not legally binding and parliament must give its approval. So, we will see…

Politicians and their mouthpieces are talking that right wing and xenophobia have prevailed. I’m not familiar with Brexit campaign. They might have been using xenophobia or maybe just “leftists” saw it. But in the end, that was just campaign or lets say marketing, propaganda, when all sides try to attract people for their agenda. And they are using emotional triggers because their efficiency is well proven. Try not to get hooked.
About pro-immigration idea. How easy it goes across legitimate concerns from unemployed and/or underemployed (millions of people in EU). Yet, they are talking just about benefits but not about these groups competing for the same jobs in stagnating economy.
Regarding economic consequences we also have to wait. Most probably RolssRoyce jet engines will still be on Airbus.
I think you should not expect what was promised in Brexit documentary, that reduced regulation will bring Swiss prosperity. Bull shit. A lot more is needed to have this. Some third world country to exploit is also necessary –>> http://bit.ly/25ylubE
Swiss prosperity also has its ugly face.

James, you obviously weren’t part of the generation that had the pleasure of watching the Jefferson’s do their thang, so we’ll give you a pass on your door comment, then correct you.
    Here ya go!

Don’t let the door knob hit you where the good lord split you!

    You’re welcome… =)

I totally agree with you, James: celebration. But now we have to look carefully at Boris Johnson, together with Cameron member of the Bullingdon Club Omertà: http://www.thedailybeast.com/articles/2016/01/09/breaking-the-bullingdon-club-omerta-secret-lives-of-the-men-who-run-britain.html

There is a lot work to do but the a new start has begun! 😉

Hi James, Thanks for the good news and the good laughs. I’ve got another picture here that rivals the one you posted of George Soros:

    http://worldnewsdailyreport.com/david-rockefellers-sixth-heart-transplant-successful-at-age-99/

I must get busy and spend more time on the links and arguments you’ve posted re anarchism and “nationalism is not the answer.” My problem is fears about what that these globalists have in mind: i.e. one design fits all. From a beautiful multiverse to a slab of concrete with a dollar sign on top. The greenback will be coming out of a counterfeiting machine labeled The Fed.

Thanks for all you’ve taught me. A lot!

Now I will go pray that the British will not be cowed by all the various, sundry, and assuredly cowardly, ways the criminal mafia that runs the world plans to use to force them to OBEY!

I’m going to try again and ask you why my comment was immediately deleted and marked as spam?

  7. whateverittakes2 says:

Since I refuse to back down so easily, I will try to reconstruct my comment: I simply wrote that I was grateful for the good news and the good laughs. That I feared the globalist project because of the monotony of a few guys deciding what this beautiful and very diverse world should be… And I posted a picture of David Rockefeller (above) that matches the one you posted of George Soros.

And added a thought about the globalist world symbolized as a vast slab of concrete with a dollar bill on top coming out of a counterfeiting machine labeled The Fed. (Maybe that was what did it…??)

It would appear James deletes comments that aren’t in line with his way of thinking.

      • Corbett says:

Haha, nice attempt at a smear, but for the record (i.e. for those commenters who care about facts), that is a lie. You’ll notice that every single one of whateverittakes2’s comments are there, including the repeats and the ones asking why their comments are missing.

        • peace.froggs says:

Fair enough, however James, I did post a comment a few days ago on the Brexit thread, and when I checked today to see if anyone had replied to my comment I noticed it wasn’t there anymore. Do you know what might have happened?

          • Corbett says:

No idea whatsoever. It’s not in my spambox or moderation queue and I don’t delete comments. Post it again if you can.

            • peace.froggs says:

I don’t remember, but it kinda went like this…. Brexit is actually good for the EU, since Scotland will more than likely break away from the UK and Northern Ireland will most probably be reunited with Dublin, leaving England and Wales all by their lonesome.

Furthermore, banks within the square mile (London) are already relocating part of their staff to Dublin, Paris and Frankfort.

Of course, this isn’t simple retheric, or wishful thinking, these are facts.

Additionally, more countries are wanting to join in the EU.

Now, I’m not saying there aren’t malcontents, but the vast majority, are Pro EU.

People like Farage are jingoistic xenophobes.

Finally, England and Wales, in time, will regret Brexit, the English Empire is long gone, even Trump can’t revive it.

            • peace.froggs says:

A thousand apologies James, I just found my original post which I thought had been deleted. I posted it under the article titled “Brexit: What Does It Mean?”…I feel pretty foolish.

I hate making excuses, but if I’m allowed one, I am new here at the corbettreport, and was simply lost in the multiple Brexit articles, some of which were posted under “articles” while others were posted under “videos”.

Anyways, my apologies for eluding you might be deleted posts without having any actual proof of it, when in fact it was entirely my fault for not searching your site thoroughly before making such assumptions.

I wouldn’t pull the corks out of the champagne bottles just yet. At times, the best strategy is to take a step backward so that you are better postured to charge ahead. Why do I suspect this “defeat” is part of the plan? Is it possible we are meant, at some point in the future, to reflect back upon this day with shaking heads and say to ourselves “if only they chose to stay.”

What do Scotland and Ireland think about this? Will the United Kingdom be divided and conquered? Will the British pound collapse? Will the banking ponzi scheme fail? Will war break out? Who can say what future problems will be attributed to this decision?

Patience is a virtue, and the globalists have displayed tremendous discipline. I suspect they are at least three or four moves ahead of even the brilliant minds of the James Corbett’s in the world. These false flag, reverse psychology gaming techniques are well thought out and carefully planned. Are we celebrating that our chess opponent has sacrificed a Bishop that he will soon have our King?

There may be another hook here maybe brexit is desired by the powers that should not be.
The one great plus to the EU is the ability to physically move unimpeded through the union. This was necessary to get the people to swallow it.
Now the UK people will lose the ability to move freely physically but the banksters and corporate thieves will still have all the money and resources once the renegotiation are over. This may be the future model for all of the EU like the other “free trade” rip off deals .
The Globalists will not suffer only get stronger with this move.

  18. grahamaskey says:

What your analysis fails to point out is that, for those of us living in the UK, we have just handed power to a nasty bunch of racist, right wingers who are even more wedded to the neoliberal economic model than much of the EU. They can now proceed with an agenda, even worse than that of the EU without any of the social justice protections offered by EU agreements. The new govt has the constitutional opportunity to make wide ranging changes to UK law and in all liklihood workers rights, environmental legislation, welfare laws etc will all be rewritten to favour the same big businesses and banks as loved by the EU but in a way that previously was held back by EU laws.
Trade deals such as TTIP can be signed without any of the reluctance shown by the German and French govts, who at least wanted significant changes to the deal, unlike our own govt who would happily sign away our entire econonomy to mulitnational interests.
Whilst I applaud your stance in principle and there is a possibility of some good coming in the long term, you have to appreciate that 99% of people who voted for Brexit did not have any sympathy with your principles, they largely voted over fears about immigration, stoked up by a right wing media and populist notions of nationalism dished out by borderline racist politicians. Your gloating is all very well but insulting for half of the population who feel that their values of social justice are about to come under sustained attack, while our politicians pander to bigotry and small mindedness. Brexit will do absolutely nothing to push the UK in the direction of the kind of future we aspire to and will almost certainly push it in the opposite direction. If the UK and Europe ever do move away from the current model it will be because of a sea change in public opinion, not from nationlist sentiments forcing countries to leave the EU.

    • m.clare says:

“99% of people who voted for (TRUMP) … largely voted over fears about immigration, stoked up by a right wing media and populist notions of nationalism dished out by borderline racist politicians”.

We invest our passion and hope in politically theatrical sporting events such as these under the delusion that we have been offered the privilege of real and meaningful choice.

    • bubromer says:

I agree with your synopsis. Out of principle I may have voted Leave to put spanners in the wheels of the NWO but I knew that it would have been recuperated by unsavoury types who have their own NWO agenda and there’s no mistaking that the UK is fully on board with this agenda, EU or no EU. I decided to exercise my right NOT TO VOTE when a vote to Leave in the political climate we are in the UK and elsewhere is playing with fire. Mind you I do feel somewhat pleased by Brexit as it is a kick in the arse of globalist establishments, however faint.

This move will shatter The UK.
It has pissed off the young the Scots and The Irish .
The Uk has lost a big advantage that of free movement.
I do not see this as good I see it as the beginning of modern feudalism.
The inbreds will get more control more wealth the common man now has no where to go. The EU is far to eager to give GB the punt. No this stinks to high heaven I smell a rat.

Obviously, any movement away from a centralization of power is a good one (in the long run) in my opinion… But as so many things within our world of manufactured consent, this could be yet another shell game distracting the masses and the attentive from the next 20 steps planned?

Those amongst the wealthy/elite behind the “Leave” campaign may be a telling sign as well… “Follow the money” as they say.
    https://www.rt.com/business-projects/348345-richest-people-losses-brexit/

“British co-founder of stockbroker Hargreaves Lansdown, Peter Hargreaves, lost the most, seeing his fortune shrink by 19 percent to US$2.9 billion.
In a major irony, Hargreaves was the largest donor to the Leave campaign, donating £3.2 million, according to the UK’s Electoral Commission.”

  20. Cheryl says:

Dear James i understand your excitement at Brexit however there are a couple of important points to mention. The top 2 reasons that people voted Leave are cited as stricter control on immigration and the increased funding of the NHS. The British people haven’t woken up to the horrors of globalism as you might hope, they where duped by propaganda. Why i am not swinging from the rafters with you is that there is a feeling and in fact now multiple instances of out and out xenophobia being displayed on our streets. It’s as though the result has given people the right to pop out from behind their British political correctness and start freely and opening displaying their xenophobia. I myself have been told to go home to where i came from. Im British but I married a Pole. There was a very deliberate campaign to drum up feelings of unrest surrounding immigration by nationalist and far right groups under the guise of taking back control for British workers. The tone here is changing, it is not pleasant. Facts are being skewed. Most migrants dont come to UK from EU but from the Commonwealth and as refugees and asylum seekers. that wont change following Brexit.
The redirection of £350m/pw EU funding that was promised by the leave campaign to go the NHS was also propaganda. Only hours after the result was declared Mr Farage of UKIP said that was mearly a mistake by the Leave campaign and not something he could promise. And that actually quite clearly demonstrates my problem with it all. No one who voted leave had any idea what they where actually voting for. No details where given and it could be years before they see the real ramifications of their decisions. Without a strong, progressive antiglobalist government to guide us thro this im not sure it is the victory you hope it to be. Boris Johnson, Michael Gove and Nigel Farage are not those people! I fear it is jus another way to increase taxes, turn the screw on the lowest paid workers and line the pockets of the elite. They wouldn’t have it any other way.

  21. tgmolitor says:

So much more fun when James scores his commentary with music bites that bite.

  22. mik says:

In most of pro-Bremain comments I see claims that people voted for Brexit because of xenophobia.

How do you know what exactly was their reason?
Is this just your feeling or is there any credible survey about this?

  23. Moxa4 says:

    @mik
Good point: any credible survey? I don’t know if you would consider those charts as credible, but they are interesting anyway:
    http://blogs.ft.com/ftdata/2016/06/24/brexit-demographic-divide-eu-referendum-results/
    http://www.bbc.com/news/uk-politics-36616028

In Switzerland there is often a dramatic difference between regions with a lot of immigrants and regions with nearly no immigrants. Rural Regions with less imigrants tend to vote “xenophobic” (to say so).
I can’t back this up, but yes, I guess, that this was one of the motives of the rural votes for Leave in England.

By the way: In my view it’s completely ridiculous to believe that Brexit was against Globalisation, sorry, but that is in my view naïve:
Englands place in the Commonwealth is per se THE paradigm of globalisation. And why did they never vote against that?
I think this article says a lot: https://www.gov.uk/government/speeches/the-eu-and-the-commonwealth-the-uks-place-in-both–2

    • Moxa4 says:

And here is another chart: “Brexit, explained in one chart”!
      http://www.vox.com/2016/6/23/12012962/brexit-eu-referendum-time-polls-close-chart

In my opinion it would be wrong to explain Brexit with xenophobia. But why not use the term “immigration” and continue the discussion from there?
Apparently immigration was – and still is – a big concern in people’s minds and hearts – and maybe for good reasons.
I for myself have learned not to deny it, simply because this kind of ressentiments can be used for less honorable things.
I respect fully the votes for Brexit of every individual who is against the EU apparatus. But I would not dare to say, that these individuals have won.

  24. mik says:

I’m not from UK and I’m not familiar with demographics, economy etc. of various UK regions.
Link to vox.com (interesting links inside also) you gave is providing some proof about a role immigration played in Brexit, although like always with surveys, a lot depends what and how you ask. Or maybe even more important what is not asked.

Here is full IpsosMori survey—>>> https://www.ipsos-mori.com/Assets/Docs/Polls/eu-referendum-tables-final-day-update.pdf

On page 28. there is a question “Which, if any, issues will be very important to you in helping to decide which way to vote?”
One issue is: “The number of immigrants coming into Britain”.
Wording is biased in my opinion. Look at other proposed issues too.
Very interesting is social stratification on various proposed issues.

However, in my opinion big migration to Europe that started about year ago is a big social engineering scheme. It has been most probably more then well covered in msm in UK too.
Situation reminds me on Trump’s coming out of nowhere. I think huge media coverage helped a lot. Someone might see chicken and egg dilemma here, not me.
    http://decisiondata.org/news/political-media-blackouts-president-2016/

Who knows what would be Brexit outcome without EU immigration crisis?

  25. Moxa4 says:

    Thanks a lot! Good job!
By the way, I fully agree with your theory about the “big migration” and the “coming out” of a certain type of politician.

  26. Moxa4 says:

Thanks a lot! Good job! I fully agree with your theory about the “big migration” and the “coming out” of a certain type of politician – or the consilidation of certain strategic policies as we see in East Europe (Intermare). It may be far fetched: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QeLu_yyz3tc
