CBC Canada ran a story saying Iran doesn’t possess the technology to retrieve data from the black boxes.

Then on the same day visible on the same home page ran a story saying Iran has some of the most highly developed cyber arsenals in the world.

So Iran can hack the pentagon but cannot download from a hard drive? hmm.

The fake news surrounding the topic of vaccines and their safety is wildly reported by the Main Stream Media, there are so many reports is is almost laughable. Meanwhile if you hear the actual scientists who attended the “Global Vaccine Safety Summit” (see the link below) they paint a completely different picture.

The New York Times reported March 6, 2019 “This Is the Truth About Vaccines” https://www.nytimes.com/2019/03/06/opinion/vaccines-autism-flu.html Stating: Modern vaccines are highly effective and safe…

NBC News reported December 6, 2019 that Anti-vaccine groups take dangerous online harassment into the real world https://www.nbcnews.com/health/kids-health/anti-vaccine-groups-take-dangerous-harassment-offline-real-world-n1096461 Stating: False links between the vaccine and a variety of conditions, including autism and sudden infant death syndrome, have been widely circulated on social media. These alleged links have been fully debunked.

Most recently January 10, 2020 CNN reported their “Fast Facts regarding vaccines” https://www.cnn.com/2015/07/20/health/vaccines-fast-facts/index.html Maybe they did not see Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist at the W.H.O. speak at the Global Vaccine Safety Summit.

Dr. Soumya Swaminathan, Chief Scientist at the W.H.O., addressed the world in a promotional video where she ensures the robust existence of effective vaccine safety systems and the overall safety of vaccines. Meanwhile, five days later, here is her diametrically different opinion behind closed doors at the Global Vaccine Safety Summit on Dec. 3rd, 2019. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sPSpyEi01VI

This is the link to the actual Summit and video of the proceedings: Global Vaccine Safety Summit 2 – 3 December 2019 Geneva, Switzerland https://www.who.int/news-room/events/detail/2019/12/02/default-calendar/global-vaccine-safety-summit

I could go on and on about the fake news being reported regarding the safety of vaccines but I do not want to hoard space on your thread.

    • Arby says:

I watched Del’s YouTube vid and left this comment:

      ===== =
To be fair, ‘We don’t have many good safety monitoring systems’ isn’t exactly the same as ‘We don’t have many good safety monitoring systems in a lot of countries’.

As I said, ‘to be fair’. I am not a believer in Big Pharma and its benevolence. Its number one priority is profits, not the health of citizens. And, in this neoliberal (rules-free – for corporations) ear, citizens are on their own. Elites talk about the safety and freedom and human rights of people while they use governments (which Chris Hedges bluntly refers to as front for corporations) to club those who call on them to police (tax evading) corporations. Vaccines were probably a positive scientific innovation. But in the hands of unprincipled, increasingly desperate (their State capitalism doesn’t work even when they cheat) capitalists, who view investments (and everything, including safety measures, costs something), beyond what they have to make, as costs to be avoided. Bundling vaccines, if I’m not mistaken, is one way to cost cut. But it increases complexity and therefore risk. Recklessness goes hand in glove with neoliberalism.

And I absolutely detest the attack on informed consent that the authorities, at the behest of the true rulers of the world, are launching. Little by little, as is happening, the police (governments and their – conventional – police forces) will take measures (threatening employment, denying car licenses to offenders, even jailing people) to ensure that the people do not get in the way of uncaring Big Pharma’s profit-making.
      = =====

ear should have been era, obviously.

Only had time to glance at the WHO’s hypocritical vaccine video and the end of the Global Vaccine Safety Summit from about 1 hour and 25 minutes into the forum where various countries began leaking the truth about the functioning and consequences of the vaccine system. Silence can speak volumes.

Excellent contribution MaryD, thanks very much for these links (I’ll be using the WHO one in English class today).

  7. Arby says:

Fake news huh. Let me see. I’ll toss this out there. I’d love for this to get exposure. An excellent website is being hollowed out by what, to this reader, appears to be a faker with bad intentions. (related: “Progressives – part 4” / https://arrby.wordpress.com/2019/11/04/progressives-part-4/) A few times now, I’ve found Alan Mcleod’s articles to be off. (Alan also writes for FAIR, whose funders are very problematic.) He may be a staff writer for Mint Press News and therefore entrenched, but I’m not going to back off from pointing out his strange statements, such as blaming the downing of flight 725 in Iran on Boeing, especially when, about the same time, progressive journos like Joe Quinn (SOTT), Finian Cunningham (Strategic Culture Foundation) and Soraya Sepahpour-Ulrich (scholar) have made the kind of thorough examination that they have, making an effort not to let the American Empire off the hook but to connect some dots in order to see whether it had a role in that awful tragedy.

It appears that it did. Either the Americans, or the Israelis or both of those State actors, appear to have been responsible for the downing of 725. Iranians share some responsibility in that they should have grounded civilian aircraft during the critical time that they were actually worried about an imminent American attack on their country. And why they didn’t have updated equipment (Russian Tor-M2Es instead of Tor-M1s), I’d like to know. (Reportedly, Russia had given Israel the codes to Tor-M1!) No one’s explained that that I have seen.

My blog post looking at that is titled “There is no sacrifice (of others) too great to make for the desired regime change to happen” / https://arrby.wordpress.com/2020/01/14/there-is-no-sacrifice-of-others-too-great-to-make-for-the-desired-regime-change-to-happen/

  8. justine.k says:

For the category of Scientism (“Science says” doctrine) or Crisis in Science: “Vaccine hesitancy a top ten threat to global health – WHO, Jan 2019”.

This propaganda was picked-up by all major Western news outlets. Regardless of where you stand vis-a-vis vaccines, the fact a small minority exercises their autonomy in refusing vaccines – they are not an existential threat to global health. This rhetoric joins James’ “Going viral” video but takes a greater step in actually implying that certain individual thoughts / behaviours ARE ACTUAL risks (likened to Dengue) to global health. This is indeed gaslighting as I presume many Corbett readers are well versed in the ‘side-effects’ and cons of many vaccines that include death (see Dr. Peter Abby and Christine Benn work in Africa, their work show 5x greater deaths following adjuvant containing non-live virus DTP vaccine vs. those not given this vaccine – how’s that for global health and he’s the guy that has been running the vaccine program in Guinea-Bissau for 30+ years).

    https://www.who.int/news-room/feature-stories/ten-threats-to-global-health-in-2019

James count yourself luck in Japan with your two young ones, Japan for some reason is the most ‘vaccine hesitant country’ – meaning they administer far fewer vaccines routinely than other countries and yet enjoysthe lowest infant mortality and life expectancy – what a conundrum. This is a problem for the WHO as it doesn’t match-up with the vaccine propaganda.

The Kentucky gun shoot that was portrayed as war in the M.E. comes to mind but so do a thousand other stories.

  12. paul6 says:

I think the campaign against Jeremy Corbyn (leader of the UK labour party) deserves a Dino.

That campaign used and still uses a large variety of tools of the anglo-zionist imperial propaganda machine:

    Corbyn is anti-semite:

Corbyn’s Labour Party might lose the U.K. elections, but anti-Semitism will still remain
    https://www.nbcnews.com/think/opinion/corbyn-s-labour-party-might-lose-u-k-elections-anti-ncna1099046

has met “Holocaust deniers” and ignores “500.000 killed by Assad”:

This antisemitism poisons any good Labour might do
    https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2019/nov/30/antisemitism-poisons-any-good-labour-doing-simon-sebag-montefiore

Corbyn is also a Russian agent/asset/tool: (MH17, Salisbury “Novichok” etc.)

Jeremy Corbyn could leak secrets to Russia & Iran, Donald Trump is warned

    https://bylinetimes.com/2019/07/09/how-the-shooting-down-of-a-malaysian-jet-reveals-corbyns-putin-problem/

and of course uses Russian disinformation:

Jeremy Corbyn Is a National Security Threat
    https://foreignpolicy.com/2019/09/18/jeremy-corbyn-is-a-national-security-threat/

General election: Leaked documents cited by Corbyn ‘tied to Russian group’, says Reddit
    https://news.sky.com/story/leaked-documents-cited-by-corbyn-tied-to-russian-group-reddit-11880096

And he supports “authoritarian rulers” like Evo Morales (the coup in Bolivia was a fight for democracy, of course):

Jeremy Corbyn’s support for authoritarianism abroad makes him unfit to be Prime Minister
    https://www.cityam.com/jeremy-corbyns-support-for-authoritarianism-abroad-makes-him-unfit-to-be-prime-minister/

The list could go on. The campaign was and is still absolutely relentless.

I understand elections are not at all to James’s taste and I agree to a certain extent, but elections are subject to propaganda. Indeed I think that they are a major area in which propaganda is used.

    • Arby says:

Yes, But – and your idea is good but would need to be handled with extra care – Corbyn himself is a faker. “UK: Corbyn offers no fight against war with Iran” by Thomas Scripps (WSWS) is only the latest article about faker Corbyn that I’ve bookmarked.

  13. kit8642 says:

I suggest the Covington Kid story, but an aspect that hasn’t been covered to my knowledge. This story looks like “Pimp my Fake News”, where they used fake news to cover up fake news.

This story began for me with the “Brazilian” bot account (Talia @2020fight) that was demonized and banned by twitter for promoting the initial video. That account was actually a sockpuppet offered on a website called shoutcart.com. This account was also sourced in 6 other news stories in 2 years prior to the event with Nicholas Sandmann.

What I think happened, the MSM needed a story to deflect from the botched Buzzfeed story that Mueller himself had to deny (1/18/2019).

    * https://apnews.com/58e8eff8dabb4b5289e4db16435a2b02

The event with the Coventing Kids happened later that afternoon on the 18th, and was initially posted to Instagram by a girl on the scene. A friend of here’s reposted it to reddit on r/trashy. A Journalist saw that video and they uploaded it to the sockpuppet account (Talia @2020fight) and the MSM started sourcing that account. They fueled the outrage so no one talked about the Buzzfeed situation, which the MSM had been freaking out about for a good 24hrs. After other videos came out, the burned the account and let it as a foreign influence operation.

Below is a reddit post I made with all my research and relevant sourced information. Cheers and thank you James for all you do!

I’m sure Greta Thunburg is up for nomination on the climate change nonsense but I just wanted to throw a vote towards the flat earthers. Has to be one of the fakest things I’ve heard, although, it may be the furthest thing from news.

    • Octium says:

I prefer flat earthers. At least they are consistent about their claim. The Earth is not flat one day and then round the other. Climate alarmists om the other hand keep moving the goalposts. About the only thing they are consistent on is that it is all your fault, and you need to be punished because of it.

  15. Libertydan says:

I just heard on the radio today that the Center for Disease Control (CDC) has been handing out awards to Municipal Water Departments for “Fluoridating their Water” and my local Water Dept got one. The radio propagandist reading the script said that the Fluoride was preserving people’s teeth. They even had a little clip from someone at the CDC stating that people would be four times less likely to get cavities just by drinking the Fluoridated water.
I think they said that the CDC gave out 1600 of these Awards across the Country.
What makes this an even bigger deal is that I actually went to one of the local Water Board Meetings and told them that Fluoride was a Toxin with many negative side effects that more than offset any good done relative to reduced tooth decay. As it turns out, they said that they put the exact amount recommended by the American Dental Association (ADA in the water). This is the same NGO that has been recommending putting Mercury Fillings in people and calling them “Silver fillings”. So, I guess Mercury is good for you too, eh!
I had been informed that the City of Windsor Ontario had stopping Fluoridating their water, but my Canadian Brother tells me that they are doing it again.
Believe it or not, the Moran’s running the Water Departments (and my Canadian brother), across this Country and Canada likely think I am out of my mind to question the ADA and the CDC. God forbid that someone should tell them to look up in the Sky and say that those clouds following planes from horizon to horizon are Geoengineering, and contain toxic chemicals.
It may be “Dinosaur News”, but the CDC deserve an Award for selling this shit. The Federal Agency responsible for Disease Control is actually passing out Awards to Water Departments for poisoning people. Next they will be giving Awards for Vaccinations, eh!

    • jim.f says:

+1 I didn’t know about this…it’s unbelievable that putting “medicine” (poison) in drinking water is still being promoted after so many decades…it’s quite a case study in the longevity of a lie

      • Arby says:

That’s the chemical cartel for you. Neoliberal capitalism is mafia capitalism. It’s not what you know but who you know. There’s also iodine in commercial table salt, a conversation I had at my mother’s last night. I’m not totally informed on the harm of that practice, but I certainly get that it is an unnecessary thing (especially when the alternative, namely sea salt, ‘is’ better) and only happens because of the influence of powerful special interests and how they protect each other.

  16. schnugee says:

Too Many to list this year, I do not envy James’ task, thinning out the dinosaur herd. Here are my suggestions, in no particular order:

    Jussie Smollett “attack”
Nick Sandman & the Covington kids
The Mueller report lead up coverage
    ongoing Russiagate coverage
Kentucky shooting range footage said to be attack on Syria
“austere religious scholar” Al Baghdadi article
    Trump impeachment coverage

Only in government (falsely so called) and media (same) could you be this wrong, this often, and still have a job.

  17. jim.f says:

The Epstein story, and not only his “suicide.” The entire story is the most disgusting, far-ranging, international scandal, involving the most powerful people and institutions on the planet, and the story that is being told, and hidden, would rock our world…but it is being distorted, redacted, censored, into fakeness. This one is on level of 911 or JFK in my opinion, with most of the horrors still yet to be uncovered, if they ever will be.

  18. jim.f says:

Theranos…blaming it all on an admittedly corrupt young woman, and ignoring the role of many elite Pentagon and Silicon Valley power brokers in a fraud the purpose of which is still not entirely understood.

  19. jim.f says:

“Russia”…it’s not a single story, but it is a coordinated narrative: the construction of a fake enemy

  20. manbearpig says:

busiest time of year for me; BS is so ubiquitous it’s hard to see the forest for the trees… the only things that came to mind was the alleged douma attack report but that was 2018? and climate malarchy such as this:

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/September_2019_climate_strikes

    or this:

    seti.org/more-than-11000-scientists-confirm-earth-climate-emergency

But let me cogitate in the bus…

  21. manbearpig says:

haven’t yet read the other comments (exceptionally) but the bus said

for me the biggest ongoing FAKE NEWS scam continues to be the man-made climate change fairy tale and

smoke and mirrors spread like wildfires

so Tony Heller’s done a lot of work debunking the baloney about man-made climate change wildfires in Australia and California

    BUT

riding/walking to work I saw gazillions of Extinction Rebellion posters plastered all over the place going on and on about the alleged

    “Sixth Mass Extinction” tripe.

Maybe that’s my candidate for the 2019 Fake News Awards!

    …so hard to choose though…

sixth mass extinction being sold to school children as gospel… revolting…

now gotta catch a high-speed train to the hamster wheel…

  22. Octium says:

I would like to nominate Dr Karl Kruszelnicki for the fake science journalism category for his article in the state owned Australian Dinosaur media.

5G radiation health risks have been hyped, but Dr Karl explains why you don’t need to worry.
    https://www.abc.net.au/news/science/2019-08-28/is-5g-safe-dr-karl-radiation-explainer/11416070

In his article he starts off parroting the New York Times claim that concerns people have about 5G are simply Russian Fake news.

He goes on to try and baffle people with the old “Ionising and non-ionising radiation” argument.

He also tries to mislead people into believing that 5G concerns are unscientific and that there have been no studies that show 5G causes harm.

I won’t go into further detail here as Dr Richard Cullen, from ORSAA (Oceania Radio frequency Scientific Advisory Association) has already addressed the disinformation in Dr Karl’s article on a point by point basis.

    https://www.orsaa.org/blog-updates/dr-karl-misleading-and-wrong-information-and-a-much-deeper-problem-in-the-selection-of-experts

For some background on Dr Karl himself…
    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Karl_Kruszelnicki

His qualifications and background are in Science and he has been science presenter since the early 80s

At the age of 19 he designed a machine to test the the strength of steel (Just don’t call him on his talk-back program and ask how steel beams can melt in an office fire)

He has won many prises such as the UNESCO’s 2019 Kalinga Prize, however for his work in shilling for the Telecom industry I think he deserves the more prestigious prise of the 3rd Annual REAL fake news award!

He is not a one trick pony – he has also shown a lot of dedication in spreading vaccine propaganda. (Despite getting ill from a smallpox vaccination when he was 2 years old!)

And it goes without saying he has worked tirelessly to forward the cause of Climate Alarmism.

It would be good to see Australia take out the award this year, after all what other country is prepared to burn themselves to the ground just to win a Climate Fake news award?

    PS

Does the Annual REAL Fake News Award accept bribes like the other awards? I’m sure the government has a budget for it.

  23. Oscar says:

I nominate the following for the fake-news award in 2019:

    – The OPCW report on chemical weapons use allegation in Douma in Syria
    – Epstein’s “suicide”
    – Greta Thunberg’s Climate Change tour, or alternatively just the Climate Change coverage
    – Western media reporting on Iran, in particular the coverage of the situation surrounding the events that led to the assassination of Soleimani

  24. marvinsannes says:

Guido’s “huge” crowds. And the VZ’s eating their dogs, starving. and Max Blumenthal’s video of the Caracas supermarket
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mbXqGiNlWWw

  25. summon says:

What year to choose from; MK Ultra bring confirmed, ufos “existing”, Shadow governments being talked about thanks to Epstein committing suicide (yes sarcasm), GMO not being the best for humans/environment. Royal families abuse of power, facebook power also over extending its reach …. list goes on.

Its actually been a good year for humans in general I think (probably a reason for the plague starting!), most of the stuff we all probably have been called crazy for thinking about has in some degree or another been confirmed. My friends we are no longer the crazies!

I’m digressing – My vote is not on a particular single vote but a story theme that has gone on for a very very long time in this area of research and that is – Vaccines. The very heart of cooperate science.

Any question has been labeled not only crazy but dangerous and counties pushing for forced injections but oh and behold a video has come out with the WHO stating that they are not 100% safe and that there are problems.

    • CQ says:

I join MaryD, justine.k and summon in pointing out the ramped-up fakery of vaccine propaganda, with its fake settled science and its fake safety and its fake effectiveness and its fake charges of vaccine-hesitant parents being global health threats.

Those are just a few of the lies being told to poor parents who are afraid for their children’s health and are conditioned to believe whatever medical professionals and regulatory agencies tell them.

      Ever heard of a parentectomy?

I hadn’t, ’til I read this the other day: https://standforhealthfreedom.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/01/How-States-Are-Eroding-Parental-Rights.pdf

      • justine.k says:

Thanks CQ for bringing the term “parentectomy” to us readers. I read the newsletter you linked to. Tears well up when I think about the direction we are headed in with undermining parental authority & rights. The article also brings attention to enacted or pending legislation of “mature minors”, where a child deemed capable of understanding the “risk & benefits” can decide certain medical procedures without parental consent, this is another run-around parents involvement.

      • MaryD says:

CQ Thank you for sharing that newsletter about parentectomy, as I drive around my city I can’t help to notice the numerous billboards about the growing need for foster parents and it is disconcerting when considering the institutions that deem themselves as “in charge” for judging parents. For parents to challenge the decisions made by those institutions it is usually financially out of reach and the games that are played against the parents are far from ethical. Foster parents are paid and I wonder how many take the time to really assess for themselves the reasons the child was taken from the home.

      • MaryD says:

There are “refusal to vaccinate forms” being forced on parents in their doctors offices that were created to increase vaccination rates to increase reimbursement for the provider, scare parents, and potentially take children away from parents who decline vaccines or mandate medical treatment. Parents should refuse to sign these forms. Parents are bullied into signing and unfortunately so many are afraid to stand their ground.

The Bible verse about being wise as serpents and harmless as doves keeps coming to mind.

Which in turn reminds me of medicine’s symbol of the serpent wrapped around the rod. A search for the mythological origins of that symbol brought me here, where I learned that one of Ascelapius’ five daughters was named “Panacea”: https://mythologian.net/staff-rod-asclepius-medical-symbol-symbol-medicine-meaning. Well, we can hardly call vaccines a “universal remedy” — unless we’re eugenicists, that is.

    “GONE WITH THE WIND
Man whose deadly farts ‘can kill mosquitoes hired to create Mosquito Repellent made from his intestinal gas’”

    EXCERPTS
The odd job man says no one in his home village has ever contracted malaria because his powers knock out insects over a six mile radius.

If true, that would make his fallout zone larger than that of the atomic bomb which destroyed Hiroshima in 1945.

Local barber James Yoweri said: “He is known all over the city as the man who can kill mosquitoes with his farts.

“When Joe is around we all know that mosquitoes will vanish.

“He is respectful of people around him and will only fart when there are mosquitoes around which bring malaria. His farts gets rid of this disease.”

A Local chief who knew Joe, when he was growing up as a child, said he took him in to live with him during the malaria season and claimed no one nearby caught the disease.

The chief said: “I heard about Joe’s gift and I took him in to help mop out the mosquitoes infesting our surroundings.

“He respectfully drops these bloomers and it helped eradicate the insects. He does his thing and they drop – like flies.”….

Now this is weird. Some time ago I was chatting with guys here about the truth going viral, possible or not etc and at the same time James released his “Going Viral” video. What a coincidence, I thought. Now the day before this awards video I was doing something else in my other computer and YouTube had a suggestion on the right – that had nothing to do with what I was watching. It was the exact video Corbett used in his awards video! I went and saw it, never heard of Ricky Gervais before, didn’t find it very funny etc and that was that. It was weird to see that thing in Corbett’s video on the next day. Another coincidence? Or is YouTube doing something strange? Like what? Weird. Or is it? Am I too paranoid? Or “perceptive” as Woody Allen said?

    • generalbottlewasher says:

Alex its time for a metaphor bomb. Perceptive yes you know.. However if ( and here it comes) we all drink from the same well ( internet traffic control. They were clearly plugged in but with a healthy case of awareness of their purpose . The military psychics these kids pretty hard with the promise of money, and all the benefits if they survive it. • generalbottlewasher says:

Alex , there must be a vaccine for Metaphor Contagions.
Ok ok I got a existential question for ya. Metaphysically you are just a frequency . Why wouldn’t you be influenced at a distance living on an electro mechanical magnet?. We all should be able to know (connect with) everyone’s frequency; All Bio-electrical living organisms. I would say ( simple minded ) that the metaphor is an easy way of going around languages control mechanisms. Obfuscating reality.
          Which brings up existential question 2. ;
As the existence of a false reality is obfuscated by language and visual control mechanisms. A metaphor reveals to us our power of observation in a more metaphysical manner than a sensory manner. Dint you think?

          • alexandre says:

‘there must be a vaccine for Metaphor Contagions.’ Yeah, Facebook.

Now you put me in a berlinda, I think. (Hot seat?) Those are not simple questions and I ain’t no Schopenhauer. “Just a frequency” alone would require a whole evening in a cafe in Paris with eclairs and cigarettes. What I can say is that the main point, or problem, is that the occidental way of thinking, as opposed to what’s called “primitive”, is very tricky. It leads to wrong and often opposite conclusions, even though everything seems so logical and obvious. A crocodile eats one of three young girls on the edge of a river. Two explanations: ours, that crocodiles eat things (shit happens) so you should stay away from the river, and the other, the primitive, that says that the crocodile had some business with that particular girl. The latter seems to us ridiculous, but that way of thinking leads to a much more natural, real and human existence than the former, which is logical and perfect. The artistic primitive way gives meaning and beauty, in a sense, to life, while the perfect logical rational way leads to this – an artificial madness without any true meaning. Maybe it’s the famous word “conundrum” which I never know when to use. This is expressed, to me, in Tarkovsky’s Stalker, where the rational logical way doesn’t necessarily lead to the right conclusion. Metaphors, to me, are the language of the unconscious, myth and art, and they reveal the eternal truth behind the visible plane. Someone said that the purpose of poetry is to reveal the word behind words. Joseph Campbell suggests seeing life as a poem, things like that. In terms of its connotation instead of its denotation. Well, it’ hard for us to think like that, like dreams (where things don’t make “sense”) and that’s the conundrum. How to think rationally when it leads to death and meaninglessness, and how to think poetically when it doesn’t make any sense? That’s what the Stalker does in the film; he throws instinctively his sling and wherever it lands, that’s the way to follow, even if it doesn’t make sense. Intuition, feelings, instincts, premonitions, dreams, all words detested by the rational academic scholar, and the technocrat. Those are “girly” things that have no place in “serious” practical business, right? Just compare the lives of the old primitives to ours, in terms of meaning and reality. That doesn’t mean life is perfect and good and wonderful without suffering, on the contrary, that’s the Buddha’s first statement “all life is sorrowful”, and only occidental technocrats like us look for that perfect sorrowless utopia – and while we look for it so passionately, we destroy life itself along the way. In sum, thinking is the problem. We think that we think, but our thinking is just a literal (not lateral) way that is too dumb, compared to the primitive, even to be called thinking. We seem to be de- or un-evolving thinking we are evolving. Going back thinking it’s forward.

            And that’s 501 words.

            • alexandre says:

Not evolving or devolving, no! I just found this article about the word “devolve”.

“Evolve” means to develop gradually, so the opposite of evolution would be to remain unchanged. Great. People are using”evolution” in the Darwinian sense etc etc (read the article). I meant we’re degenerating thinking we’re getting “better”. That article is quite à propos actually.

This is how you do it:

You have to bracket the i for italic and the b for bold, separately. Leave no space between the bracket and the copy and also leave no space between the i and b brackets. Similarly, leave no space at the end of your copy and the ending bracket. The ending bracket has a forward slash in front of either letter within the ending bracket.

It’s really that simple. But, the error I sometimes make is not noticing I’ve got a space somewhere. For instance, there should be no space between the forward slash and the letter within the brackets, and no space between bracket and letter. There’s no space between bracket and the forward slash…. Basically, there’s no spaces anywhere. It’s an error, though, that I don’t always notice.

Alex , at the edge of the forest. Im thinking You are more than the sum of your parts. Does entering the forest make the forest devolve? It would if you where not spiritual. The forest evolves because you are spiritual not material. The forest can eat you materially. What does the forest know of spirituality if not by you?
              I may need to better understand primitive and how its used.. But is what I ask above the conundrum you stated? Those girly things that people long ago brought to the forest. The primitives Then;
When we left the forest it became material and we really started to devolve. Like the British use, devolve into laws destroying our spirituality. Pure propaganda , we just forgot how to connect to the real law of nature through distractions. Budda falls short of the mark and is one of those detractions and devolves into sorrow. Can spirituality be sorrowful?.

I hope James does not mind all this existential stuff but your pushing new cells into me cabana which helps in the forest of thinking. Thanks Alex. It time to recline.

                Hello there.
James doesn’t look like a guy that likes this kind of talk, but it’s like an open exercise and, since it’s honest, it’s all valid. Brain-storm, and all that. I think. Or maybe he’ll ban us!

It’s too vast a subject for written words (and only 500). We’d have to first define terms, like “spiritual” or “Buddha”. We can’t talk as if we mean the same thing. Buddha was not a real man, it’s a metaphor of a psychological transformation in you (or me), just like Jesus is, but imagine how long we would have to go to agree on the terms alone. The reading of religious feelings as symbols of psychological transformations or aspects is very helpful in this secular age of ours for both atheists and theists (clears the minds of both sides), but it would be impossible to talk about that here.

About the primitive man I can tell the anecdote of the disciple asking the master:

-“Am I a manifestation of Buddha consciousness?”
                -“No”, replies the master.
-“Well, people say that everything is a manifestation of Buddha consciousness, the trees, the birds, the stones, everything”.
-“You are correct. Everything is a manifestation of Buddha consciousness, the trees, the birds, but not you!”
                -“Why not me?”
-“Because you are asking this question”.

When we think about it, we’re not “it” anymore. By being, we’re on the path, so to say – although the phrase sounds pretty idiotic. My dog is not worried about ethics when he kills a bird and eats it. He doesn’t do it because he thought about it, he just is what he is. Do your thing and you’re on the path. Try to analyze it, or follow rules, and you’re off. I feel that when I’m playing. When the music starts (jazz music, meaning, improvising freely over a tune), you’re on the path without thinking, or thinking just about the tune, the form, tempo etc, but even that, depending on what happens, goes away and suddenly you’re like watching from above. Similar to Ayahuasca; you’re there but you’re not there. It’s very powerful and not at all esoteric. It’s just doing it. Like sex or something. There are no sex classes, are there? The body knows just what to do. The primitive would be like that but also in everything else, politics, hunt, practical things, everything. The modern western mind apparently detached itself and wondered off in mysterious paths – sophisticated and high tech, but away from reality in a sense. Something like that.

Can spirituality be sorrowful? Depends on the meaning of the word. Nirvana is a psychological position where you’re not touched by fear, desire or duty, so it’s a way to think about suffering. But imagine THAT discussion. This is 463 words and we didn’t even start.

                I need my milk.
