I lived in Portland at the time of the “thwarted” Christmas Tree bombing and received much of the local news coverage as well as seeing the local reaction. Luckily, most of the people of Portland are already alternative thinkers and most people didn’t fall into the hype, but what was really fascinating was that by listening to combined coverage of the story it was easy to gather that the entire thing, start to finish, was set up by the FBI.

What the NYT article fails to mention is that Mohamed Osman Mohamud had apparently tried emailing al-Qaeda through one of “their” websites, telling them he’d like to help out in jihad (Mohamud also was 18 or 19 at the time). The FBI then “intercepted” this email and contacted him posing as al-Qaeda. They told him they would have their people here in the US contact him and two FBI agents took Mohamud out to an isolated field where they blew up some bombs to show him what they would be sending him with to the Christmas Tree lighting. It was only after priming him, supplying him, and coming up with the plan for him, that the FBI then provided him the the inert materials he brought to the Lighting. All of this was covered at the time the event occurred, and only a hand full of people I’ve ever talked to have noted just how fluidly the FBI had guided his young man at every step.

Encouragingly, most people at least dismissed the event as somewhat contrived, but hey, at least they caught a “bad guy”. I have to point out that Mohamud may never have been a bad guy if it weren’t for the FBI baiting and prodding him along every step. It’s also good to make the point that he was allowed to drive this van, inert or not, into the middle of a crowed square of Christian onlookers. If he were some crazed hate-filled terror-plotter, then what would have stopped him from having a homemade suicide vest, or at a back up gun or explosive. Then the FBI might have had real blood on their hands, then how might the story have been spun.

Thank you for your stories, another excellent post and something to pass along.

True homegrown terrorism, right in the alphabet agency gardens.

The RCMP story makes one wonder how many of these so-called stings are actually false flag operations which had to be aborted for one reason or another. Or conversely, maybe when an intended sting goes extra swimmingly, the decision is made to upgrade to the real thing. Either way, I suppose it’s called “keeping your options open”.

  3. All of this makes me wonder. Since “terror” is now global, and literally any location is fair game for one of these synthetic events, it seems only logical from the standpoint of the deep state that if they want to completely roll out the total police state, it would have to be in direct proportion to the scale and effect of said “attack.”

Thus, are we going to expect a false flag type attack on the US energy grid or a cyber 911? Recall this meme has been heavily promoted for years now, and the predictive programming is rife, ripe and ready for exploitation. What about a “dirty bomb” in a major US city? This would make sense from the standpoint of the deep state in that if people question these low-tech events as “false flag” – by truly taking it to the next level, it would also be more “real” and perhaps help elude further scrutiny. The logic of Joe Sixpack would be, “I get the government may want to create fake terror plots with individual dupes and foil them, but why would they willingly destroy the energy grid (or “detonate a dirty bomb”)?” “Let’s give up our privacy for security!”
